Nice. National team play and Örebro should get his confidence up before the WJC.

Any info on Petter Granberg,Viktor Loov or Tom Nilsson would be appreciated. Haven't seen any of them play and don't know much about them other than a few scouting reports.

Jensen with another goal and an assist. He's now first in rookie scoring and second in goal scoring overall.

Granberg is a solid defensive defenseman, strong with good reach. He knows his limits and does the best of it, playing easy with few mistakes.

He got injured during preseason, but I think he'll be back in the next game or so, if he isn't back already.

Granberg is back. He participated today during the pre-match warmup, so I'm willing to guess that he'll be playing tonight.

Any shot at the NHL and if so, at what capacity?

I'd say he's got 3rd line pairing potential. He was great in the playoffs this spring, and if he can keep building his game from there, he could be a high quality defensive d-man. Just did his first game this season, and I didnt see it, so lets see how it goes from now on.

And a little gossip to spice up this post: This summer he became stepbrother to David Rundblad...

Guess they could learn quite a lot from each other.

Granberg only played 5 minutes tonight though, not sure if he stepped out due to the old injury or something else...

Any insight on Nicklas Jensen from someone who has seen him live this year? Highlights and stats are nice, but they don't really give a full picture.

One thing that intrigues me, and perhaps someone who watches SEL2 can enlighten me on the issue, but aren't Nilsson and Wikstrand a pairing for Mora? Meanwhile, Wikstrand has 10 points and Nilsson has 0. Strange that Nilsson is missing out on getting any points whatsoever while his D-partner has scored 7 times.

Or are they not a pairing and I'm just mislead?

At the moment Wikstrand plays with Nolander and Nilsson plays with Cedergren/Gotto.

( I was tempted to ask this in the Oilers section, but I wanted a more unbiased opinion)

What exactly is so good about Oscar Klefbom that the entire Oilers population on HF pumps his tires at every available opportunity? His point production is mediocre, and my assumption is that he is supposed to be an offensive Dman. Am I totally off the mark here in thinking that "klefa" is supposed to be an offensive dman, and that his strength in his own zone? I've never really seen him play before so I'd like to know.

I always thought he was meant to be a shut-down defensman, which is why he's given so many responsibilities on his team.

I would say that the top teams in Allsvenska is very close to the bottom teams in the SEL, there is a certein difference but it is not that big.

Before this season i would have been a bit tempted to agree with you, he looked good, but nothing special. The few games I watched him this season (before he got injured) blew me away, he was great defensively and showed promise in the offense. He was clearly the best d-man on the ice. Take it for what it's worth though, you never know how a SEL-players game translates to NA-ice.
