PlayStation Battle Royale (Sony Smash Bros.)

It's actually real...and it doesn't at all look like Super Smash Bros.

I'll buy it just to have a solid 4 player local multiplayer game on the PS3.
Traditional fighting games never interested me too much, but SSB did in way that made it awesome for playing with friends over and over.

SSB/SSBM/SSBB have always been my favorite Nintendo games on their respective platforms...Not enough games I'm interested in to justify buying a Wii or Gamecube for one game though.

I'm guessing Sony probably won't add like any characters from say...Final Fantasy since they'd have to pay Square Enix for it. If they did that though, it'd be a must buy for me.

Honestly, I can't wait to get it. I love Smash Bros and always wanted a game like it for the Playstation. I don't know why people are so bent out of shape about this game. I do believe in this case that imitation is the biggest form of flattery. I also hope that 3rd party companies, along side with Sony, releases character packs (free or not). Like 5 bucks for 5 characters or so from the Shin Megami Tensei games or something like that. This can be a huge game for Sony.

They might as well go full out SSB and add out of bound deaths. Only being able to kill someone by using supers is not sounding good right now.

Is that all it is? That's a weird choice, but I guess they didn't want to go the percentage route SSB went.

Can't say I care at all about this game, I have no attachment to Sony characters, owning Nintendo consoles my whole life, but I don't understand why people are upset about this. How many similar fighting games come out every year, nobody cares then. There's what, 5-6 SSB type fighting games?

Hopefully for the fans it's more like SSB, and not TMNT Smash Up, that game was really boring.

The director of the game said on GT that there will be some third party characters.

In before 20 pages of rules needed to make the game playable.

Doesn't sound that appealing only using supers. And it better have some awesome characters.

I saw a level with the menus from LittleBigPlanet... I think it's only that stage, but that would've been amazing if they asked some help from MediaMolecule to build a in-game stage builder...

I always loved the Smash Bros games, so I'll probably be looking to buy it. They better have Ratchet and Sackboy in this game. _

Sony: Blatantly ripping off Nintendo since 1995.

I expected it to look prettier, to be honest. It doesn't even look as good as Small Arms, a five year old XBLA game, IMO.
