I dunno, I'm kinda torn. I like the direction they can take with Brody now in terms of CIA involvement and perhaps turning him or trying to turn him, but Carrie is just annoying as **** anymore. She needs to be out or in...the in-between crap is just dragging the show down.

Claire Danes is a great actress, but I really ****ing hate the bipolar **** with a passion, could barely watch the end because of it.

RE: Homeland I like the plot move. Was refreshing that it didn't keep dragging on (which is what I expected despite loving the show). Oh absolutely Carrie jumped early but at the same time think of the carreers at stake as well as security letting things play out.

See, I just don't think that's how they'd let it play out in real life. They had eyes on him constantly and it was only a matter of time before they got ears in his office. They'd have watched him for patterns to develop and try to track him back to his handler, instead of confronting him after a day or two.

And it drove me bat-**** crazy that when they did their 'brown' profiling, they didn't note the actual handler, who he took off to some corner in the Rayburn Building to talk to privately. You note the random cab driver, but not the person that he might actually see regularly? Come on.

While I guess to whole double-agent thing could be cool, it's been done (Traitor with Don Cheadle is one example). What made this show so intriguing was the unique plot.

I agree. Except the "brown" thing. I think it would have been more interesting to let the Walden-Brody storyline play out more too. I don't think re-turning Brody would be a good direction, but I guess it depends how it's done. The show has been unpredictable enough so far that maybe it could be done interestingly. I've thought since the first season that the best way for the show to continue is to settle the Brody plot and then cut him out of the show, instead of trying too hard to write the story around him and inevitably letting the show become ridiculous. Obviously that's quite unlikely since he's cast as a starring character, but I think the best approach would be to make the show about Carrie and change the storylines before they get stale.

They are calling Hurricane Sandy a mega storm. I hope everyone will be safe. Just as well that there is no hockey on the east coast right now. Wouldn't want anyone travelling in such dangerous weather.

Batten down the hatches.

Yeah, I'm in San Antonio now for a wedding. I'm supposed to fly back to Dulles tomorrow, but I'm feeling like there will be some travel issues with the storm.

At least it won't be extremely hot or extremely cold when the power goes out, like the other times...

I think we are going to get clobbered. The Sterling NWS guys are saying they can't recall such an expansive target area in the models.

The CWG guys are going with "very bad" to "worst" on the we are screwed scale.

Knock on wood but the derecho this summer my power flickered once. Big apartment/condo complex build right next store had the side benefit of improving the power reliability. Before that man it went out at a drop of the hat.

Have a APC J15 for the HT system so was entertaining one of the recent hour outages or so I'm still rocking the 60" plasma. Wondered wth my neighbors thought, heh.

Power went off at 2:02pm and I was getting ready for a long wait without it. Luckily it came back on about 2 minutes later. Close call.

Wind really whipping up now, can't wait to see when Sandy hits land.
