I like what Mach brings to the table. I know it was a small sample last year in the show but he is the perfect replacement for a guy like Glass and he brings more of an offensive touch to the table. If this season ever started Id love to see him Slates and Mitts together. Sorry to get OT, he played a great game tonight and I think this will be a fun season to watch the Icecaps if the NHL doesn't start up again.
Nice to see Burmi carrying the puck up the ice, holding it in the offensive zone and not doing so much east-west trickery. Looking very confident for the IceCaps, hope that translates when the Jets are back.
Really good news for the Caps. Jaffray is in the lineup for the first time since last March. Looking back on it the team was never the same after he wen't down. Then when Mahachek went out, they had no chance against Norfolk.
It includes centre Patrice Cormier, forced out of the IceCapsí season-opener Friday, a 2-1 win over the Phantoms, winger Carl Klingberg, hurt in practice collison last week, defenceman Paul Postma and forwards Ray Sawada, Ryan Schnell and Jason Jaffray, all with ailments carrying over from before the start of the season.
Doesn't mention what happened to Cormier, and I can't find anything with a quick google/bing search.
Beauty atmosphere at the game last night. It was quiet early on but eventually turned into one of the loudest regular season icecaps games i've been to. This team is good, and they are without Postma, Jaffry, Cormier and Klingberg.
Had Eddie Started last night it wouldn't have been so close. Almost every goal scored was a result of a bad rebound. Then eddie stepped in and everything that hit him was covered instantly.
