I figure it's just harder for NHL North American players to get jobs in euro leagues.

Cool. I hope he takes it slow though, lol, no going face first into the net Taylor. Just use the AHL to get some of that timing/confidence back.

Petrell had a hatty against Ilves, probably the worst team ever played in the finnish 1st division. Also heard that Ilves is close to be bankrupt and would be excluded if that happen. Then Petrell lose 3 goals.

Gags made his 1st game in austria, and they lost after a so 4-3 against a hungrian team, what the h ell,do they play hockey there?

Ps. Gags had 1 assist in the game! In the stats, he played Lw (Tyler spurgeon was C) in the 3th line.

Oiler Players in Europe

Couldn't find a thread where all this goes.

Gagner had his first game yesterday in Austria, he scored an assist in 4-3 shootout loss.
Corey Potter is also in Austria playing for Vienna, he has one assist and 6 PIM in 4 games.

In the Czech league Hemsky and Smid have played 10 games and 9 games respectively . Hemsky has 4 goals and 6 assists while Smid has a goal and 4 assists to go along with 10 PIMs.

And Petrell is going for a the scoring title in the SM-Liiga.

I really hope Dubnyk and Petry find homes soon....if we miss an entire season the development of our hopeful #1 goalie, and a top 2 defenceman is pretty big.

Kane to Swiss league. So much for they'd like to play together again. Hopefully that ends Gagner to CHI rumors that come up all the time.

Martin Ruzicka (who has never been a scorer in any league) is going insane by the way with 19G 9A 28P in 15 games.

50 points (26g,24a) in 2010-2011 in Czech League, decent season in the KHL last year (little better than 0.5 ppg), ripping it up this year in the Czech League? I think he has finally found his stride in the Czech League at the age of 26

Not quite related, but Gilbert Brule got cut by his Swiss team after he went 14 games without a goal (but he did have 6a). Still, what fall he has taken. I feel pretty bad for him.
