I feel you. I was about to pull the trigger on some tickets (which are very expensive, considering it's preseason) this morning.....but the Pistons.....meh. I'd rather just use the money towards a regular season game and make the drive down to Minneapolis to see the Celtics again.

Any word on ticket sales? Kevin Love won't be playing. The game is being televised so that might hurt too (Raptors PBP crew will be calling the game).

If the Raptors were in town or maybe a couple of better teams were I am town I would have gone. I really don't want to see a couple of teams play that probably won't even make the playoffs.

I am intrigued to see how the raps develop this year though.

TNSE sent me an email on the weekend with some special discount for upper bowl seating... not surprised that the upper bowl seats aren't sold out.

Personally, I love to play basketball but it's pretty much the same as baseball... I'd love to play it, but don't care to watch it.

Would anyone in Canada even watch? Basketball is about as boring to watch as baseball!

Hope you guys give a nice hand to Brandon Roy. He was an up and coming superstar in the league. Unfortunately he was forced to retire early due to injuries. However he is trying to make a comeback and I think this is his first season back after a break.

Game is on Sportsnet 1 for anyone interested.

Sucks that Love is out (and Rubio but we knew that when tickets went on sale). Glad the Wolves picked up Roy though, hope he does well.

A little fun fact: The Raptor mascot was born and raised in Winnipeg. He's also my cousin.

He was also the guy in the Kaboom polar bear costume for the Winnipeg Thunder. That's how he got the Raptor job

Had a great time as well. I'd be interested in picking up some Timberwolves tickets if it worked out with a Vikings road trip.

Next year I'm hoping to do this if the scheduling works out.

Mind = Blown! kaboom was pretty awesome for minor league hoops.... Those Thunder games were a ton of fun for the minimal cost of tickets.

Went, decent game, some interesting players to see in person.

Production was excellent, great games, timberwovles dancers, good mc. Music was bit annoying.

He was big into trampoline gymnastic stuff. His trick was doing a flip and dunking the ball while he was the mascot for the u of w team. He sent in a video and was chosen to attend a tryout/competition in Toronto for the raptor job and was selected.

Another fun fact, he was 1 of the creepy Olympic mascots for the Beijing olympics.

Buddy and I decided to go at the last minute, was a pretty good time for $25 a ticket. Hadn't caught a live basketball game since the days of the good ol' Winnipeg Thunder.

Last time I was in Minneapolis we scored $2 lower bowl seats from a scalper to see them play the Magic on a Saturday night. This was a couple seasons after Garnett left and they had no hope. Weren't more than 8000 in the building so we were able to try out a lot of different seats. Probably a little different now.
