I'd like to see Dumba with some real prospects up front. See how good he could be with some talent.

The reason Dumba is ranked so high on HF is because he plays in the CHL.

Dumba isn't anywhere close to Brodin right now and should probably be ranked as our 6th-7th best prospect, behind Granlund, Brodin, Coyle, Zucker, Larsson and maybe Hackett.

Hes 3 years out atleast.

If you have Larsson and Coyle ranked meaningfully ahead of Dumba, I'm either terrified of your expectations for those two or quite disappointed in your view of Dumba.

Disagree for sure. He has a chance at returning to the WHL as a 19 year old, but after that I would say he's going straight to the NHL.

Dumba is going to get a long look in the NHL after next camp...i think he'll get his 9 games to see if his mind can keep up and if he can pick his spots. This is just my expectation from a fan perspective but I think I'll end up viewing him as i did Burns: a valuable weapon that backfires every now and then but overall wins more games than he loses. That's my "best case" expectation. It may sound conservative for fans but it's not a slight at all--i love Burns despite the mental lapses. he was a huge difference maker for us.

With Larsson's poor start start in the AHL I'm a little iffy on him, its a little stretch to say hes better than Dumba.

Coyle doesn't have the potential Dumba has but his low-end is 3rd liner, where Dumba's low-end is out of the league.

Maybe I just don't trust CHL guys in general because I also don't think Huberdeau or Hamilton will become the bigtime superstars that most others do.

If I ranked everyone on potential it would be:
Brodin
Granlund/Dumba
Zucker
Coyle
Larsson

Don't mean to come on a team's board and stir things up, but stuff like this makes me face-palm a bit. You talk like your opinions are facts in the bold sentence.

I just base peoples low-end strictly on their current defensive acumen since that is the most likely attribute to carry over between leagues.

Dumba's defense currently isn't good enough to hold a spot in the NHL.

His last weekend was just fine..looked much more like the pesky player he was advertised to be. I believe put up points in the last 2 games on the weekend as well. Would be nice to see him get to play with more offensive players but for now with all the depth in Houston he misses out on some PP time and scoring line duty..

Whats up with Bulmer's rough start?? Seems like he is falling victim of playing on a lower line and is getting outperformed/discouraged playing behind the Coyle's, Granlunds and Zuckers of the world.

I had him challenging Hard for a spot at camp and really thought it was him Coyle or Zucker for that last forward spot.

I hope he picks it up!

Bulmer and Larsson were on a line and were terrible. Larsson went to Granlund's line and picked up 2 points in a game. I'm sure they are adjusting to the speed of the opposing teams.

If anything, that's the downside for this club being so young. Offensive players would likely adjust early but defensive guys might take a while.

That said I'm not a big Bulmer guy. I am expecting big things from Larsson though.

Bussieres is in town tonight and it's 1-1 in the 1st. I haven't noticed him much so far.

If Marc Andre Bergeron can find employment for several years in the NHL i have no fear that Dumba will be picking up a check.

And lol about Ralphie's roomate. Niiice.

The Drakkar just took a 3-2 lead in the 2nd period. Shocking.

Bussieres: 0 point, 1 hit.

Bussieres scores on breakaway...

5-2 after 2. Once again, shocking.
