lol, a 1L glass? Nice. The ones I have in the picture I just got from my grandfather, they are likely from the 70s or 80s and are very thin crystal, instead of the thick glasses they sell today.

gin my old friend. so unfastidious unlike my true love bourbon. no need to **** around with palate cleansing and tasting notes. a double splash of olive brine. better yet jalapeno brine.

My man's got some krunk in his system.

I've got a bottle of Old Boardhead here. Debating between that and some Pipeline Porter.

I'm going to try to find a good variety case tomorrow since i will only be by distributors. Any suggestions? I'm thinking either Great Lakes, Victory or Sierra Nevada. I hope they have one of those where I'll be.

If the weather is nice I was thinking of sitting on my balcony this upcoming weekend and cracking open my bottle of 12 Year Old Glenfiddich Single Malt and having a glass with a Cuban cigar. The trouble is, I dunno which cigar to pair that Scotch with...any suggestions???

I know that the mall across the street from my apartment has a little smoke shop type place in it that sells Cuban cigars as it's where I got my Cohiba Siglo III cigar nearly 2 weeks ago. Am pondering whether I should run there later on today and grab a cigar as I sadly still haven't been to the huge cigar shop downtown yet.

I vote Great Lakes or Victory. It depends on what beer you want. Victory Golden Monkey is a delicious Belgian Tripel Ale and I'm down with their hoppier beers like Hop Devil and the like. Admittedly, I haven't tried all their beers but everything I've tried I have enjoyed.

Great Lakes I like pretty much everything but Dortmunder Gold Lager is probably their flagship beer and is delicious as far as lagers go. I personally love their Lake Erie Monster IPA (but I don't think that's in season) and Christmas Ale might be available soon. Nosferatu Imperial red ale is the seasonal right now and it is awesome as well.

I've had golden monkey and hopdevil and really like them. They are actually the only beers that i have tried from victory. The two i have tried from great lakes are eliot ness and edmund fitzgerald. Theyre solid too.

Yeah I think their current variety pack has Dortmund, Burning River, Edmund Fitzgerald, and Eliot Ness. Not bad but you miss some good stuff.

I almost bought a case of that Nosferatu, but it was running at $54! Insane.

Yeah, you're right, those are the beers in the current variety pack. That's what I ended up picking up.
Have you guys ever had anything from the Oskar Blues Brewery? I was tempted to buy their sampler but I didn't want to commit to an entire case of something I never had before. They made me buy two twelve packs at the distributor. I was hoping I could just grab a 12.

Awesome pickup with the Chimay gift pack Husker, I hope our LCBO's stock those for the holidays this year. I'm dying to pick one up if I can.

Anywho I cracked open my bottle of 12 Year Old Glenfiddich Single Malt this afternoon. Great stuff, very smooth. I like it oodles more than I did the Johnnie Walker Black Label.

I still need to get a proper scotch glass though.

just returned from a honeymoon trip to aruba and the house beer was this:

the first few went down okay, but by midweek this stuff was testing my gag reflexes. and i'm not a cocktail guy, so i had to force the stuff down to keep my BAL up to where it needs to be. i used to love the convenience and cost certainty of all inclusives, but **** 'em... you miss out on good local restaurants and may get stuck with bad beer.

i'm going on a stout bender for the steeler game with:

1. founders breakfast stout
2. anderson valley oatmeal

I haven't had the pale ale, but I have some of the toasted porter in my fridge...the porter is pretty damn good. By far the best Icelandic beer I've ever had (not really saying much).

Six-packs of Deschutes Jubelale, Ninkasi's Sleigh'r, Bayern's Oktoberfest, and various 22s.

Heaviest suitcase ever.

Finished my bottle of 12 Year Old Glenfiddich Single Malt earlier as well as my last six pack of Sam Adams Boston Lager.

The Glenfiddich was delicious. Now I know what to grab whenever I'm in an occasional Scotch mood.

Picked up a bottle of Russian Standard vodka about an hour ago.

It's very good Russian vodka and is generally my go-to vodka of choice. The quality and drinkability of it is outstanding. It's hard to believe that it sells for only $25 a bottle. It could easily sell for double or triple that IMO as it easily beats out many other brands of vodka I've tried that are in that $50-75 price range.
