Im glad the Islanders are moving to a better arena.
We can develop a true rivalry with them now which makes me ready for when the NHL returns in 2015.
I see what you did there.
Seriously though, last year`s games against them were the worst, in absolutely every aspect there is.

Some games surely do, as do some of the NHL games, even though it`s rare. So no, the doesn`t suck, it`s just your missjudgement.
The funny thing is, there is no league superior to the KHL at the moment. And if we`re going with the term "product", you should not compare sports across the spectrum. I`m with CG on this one.
No one`s gonna bash anybody for not sharing the same view, but careful with the words such as "suck" and "inferior". It`s a bold statement to say the least.

As of today, I'd say the KHL is putting out much better hockey.
No doubt, but once the lockout ends, anyone on this board outside of those from Russia who say they will continue to watch the KHL is probably lying to themselves.
If a deal does not get done by Thursday Eklund is a fraud. Dude has been wrong so many times since this lockout. Still trying to figure out who sucks more. Him or Mr Anonymous hockey insider.
I think it's already been well established that he is a fraud, another proof is unnecessary.

Neither of them are particularly good at it, but I'd say Kovalchuk is better.
LOL at Eklund calling out the hockey insider. Hockey insider seems like a joke account. Eklund is actually supposed to be a legit journalist, and reports stuff just as WRONG!
Wonder how if Fehr's, and Bettman/Daly are meeting tomorrow?
Well at least now we know why Bettman couldn't meet the union yesterday, since he was in Brooklyn tauting the subway system for Nassau fans to come to Brooklyn

By what standard, pray tell? Other than the KHL is playing and the NHL isn't. They don't have the best players or coaches in the world and some of their teams are a hastily put-together team of mercs playing there till the NHL lockout ends (Ovy and Kovy are both talking out of their *** when they give lip service to staying afterward).
I'm on the other end of the spectrum as a hockey fan. The game is the game whether it be at the junior level or overseas. Hockey first, NHL 2nd.
For me it's Devils first, and nothing else is second from a hockey perspective. I can't even get into watching the AHL right now, it's just too much of a reminder that the 'real' Devils should be playing. Same thing with watching Kovy/Zidlicky/Volch/Clarkson overseas. That's also too much of a reminder of what's not here.

Same here its either Devils or no hockey. Been watching Football lately though. Was Never a fan but at least its something. I know most of the rules now so its a little more fun to watch but its no Marty scorpion save

And then when the 2018 lockout comes around it will work out great for countries preparing for the Winter Olympics. They can have legitimate practices with their Olympic teams.
