Not super-impressive goals or anything, but might as well show them.

Think I might finally have some of the aspect ratio issues sorted out.
Also the commentator calls Reider 'Faksa' at one point so don't get too confused. Faksa wears #94 like a boss.

Do we have stats on Wandell's faceoffs from his time at Timra or Assat?

Here are his stats from 2008/09 with Timrå:
In 51 games, he won 495 of the 969 faceoffs or 51.08% of all draws. I remember Razor saying though that the rules in Sweden are different from the NHL. I think it was that they can't use feet in Sweden to win a draw.

Wandell can't be physically pushed off the puck in Sweden because the player can't engage and use his feet. They have to use the stick and win it fairly clean thus his size disadvantage is negated. Here guys like Ott just manhandle him and Ott's not exactly big. It's good that he's doing it as he could serve in a pinch but don't expect him to start taking faceoffs in Dallas, unless you want his 40% rate.

This is all in Finnish. Hopefully one of the posters from Finland can let us know if anything interesting was said.

Esa Lindell didn't play in Jokerit's game yesterday, and I'm not sure why he didn't.

As I can't understand any of that I found myself staring at those cartoon perfect clouds in the background. I now want to visit Finland (more than before).

Is Ritchie the rare playmaking winger or something?

I think I've heard his release being compared to Neal around here, so I think it's just because he plays with Ryan Strome.

He's also a pretty good grinder/cycler so he gets a lot of assists just for being the guy who wins a puck battle along the boards. His stat line to me shows that he's on an effective scoring line but he's in a personal scoring slump.

Well thats 3g in his last two games so if he was in a slump hopefully he is busting out of it.

I'd compare him to more of a Getzlaf type player. Big physical battler... without the insane chemistry with Perry.

Branden Troock out again with an "Upper body injury"
He was boarded in their October 20th game vs Portland by Derrick Pouliot.
Hopefully this is just from a bad hit and he recovers, and not a sign that he will be consistently injured due to his past.

Gemel Smith is still on fire with another goal tonight. Keeps his streak going with at least a point in every October game.

Crazy game for Winther.
Guptill's picked right up from where he left off last season. Small sample size but almost a GPG. Crazy.
