This is the first president that has interest in hockey.

I don't think he cares much

He was asked about it on a talkshow during an election campaign... What is he going to say to the Kings' fan "sorry bud, I don't give a hoot about ice hockey"?

I fully expect Tim Thomas to firmly take position against Barack Obama interfering with The Freedom of Hockey.

Yeah I think you are right, he did know there was a lockout unlike another president.

I remember Clinton sort of caring

When Ottawa played Washington in the 1998 playoffs did he and Chretien make a bet about wearing the winning team's jersey?
Such a dissapointing series after the stunning upset against the Devils...

Cam Stewart of The Score thought Leno only asked him because of the fact NBC has the rights to the games in the United States and the fact the Tonight Show is also broadcast on NBC.

So if Obama was to go on David Letterman's show I doubt CBS cares about the lockout since they don't broadcast the NHL games, so he wouldn't ask him his thoughts about it.
