Anybody know what's going on with McFarland and why he's been benched for three games? Is it just poor performance?

He wasn't very good defensively in the opening game. Last forward spot is between him and Vaive. Vaive is better defensively, right now.

DGM starting in net tonight. Weber says "He earned it with the shutout".

What's the story again about how we got DGM? Wasn't there some history with him and Coach Weber? Awesome how we snagged him up last year!

He played for Weber in Cincinnati a couple years ago. When we had our goalie clusterf... early last season, DGM was playing in Finland. We offered him an AHL deal and he jumped at it.

Shore and Howden looking good so far this season. 1-0 Rampage with the lead, Shore and Howden with an assist.

Dov earned the start with his shut-out last game. If Marks wants to earn his stripes he will do the same.

Yeah, watching this team feels very familiar. Hey Santos and Tallon, can't you at least get a winning AHL team together? Good lord, us fans have suffered enough.

Maybe Grumet-morris is the next Tim Thomas......perhaps he's our future and not Markstrom

This is why I did not want to re-sign Clemmensen. I bet DGM is, at worst, just as good as Clemmensen.

Not a hindsight comment, either; I was basically saying this for much of the offseason. I even asked Rampage fans why DGM still hasn't gotten a shot and they don't seem to have an answer. It seems rather unfair, at this point; he could probably put up better #'s than a lot of backup goalies in the NHL.

Edit: I didn't think it was right that he didn't get a chance last year, either. This organization basically gave a lot of people their chance last year, but never DGM. At one point, our goalies were so banged up that Brian Foster was our backup. I guess they did it to keep the Rampage in contention. Or maybe it had to do with their respective contracts, not sure.

Pretty sure DGM was signed by the Rampage.. Not us.

DGM was on an AHL-only contract last season. he wasn't property of the Panthers. he signed the deal with San Antonio.

if we have a season this year, and if injuries arise, he would be eligible to be recalled because he signed an NHL, two way, contract with the Panthers.
