Actually there wasn't any semblance of defense on that play at all. They just stood there.
Still, nice goal. He's got good hands.

It is a cousin, and they are nowhere near close to the same type of player.

Excluding Myles Bell who's listed as a D, but playing forward. Morgan Rielly is currently leading all CHL dmen in points.

Love Morgan Rielly
Well he's certainly playing like he should have been picked in the top 3. I think Rielly's just getting warmed up as his leg gets stronger and stronger.

Not even first cousins, I believe they are third cousins. Very distant.

I wrote a few words on Rielly:
Quote:
Having missed nearly the entire 2011/2012 season due to a knee injury suffered last November, a lot of question marks surrounded Morgan Rielly entering the 2012 draft. A strong combine, including top 10 finishes in the leg power, bench press and grip test helped alleviate some concerns, but it would be remiss to say there weren’t a few eyebrows raised when the Leafs selected Rielly 5th overall last June with forwards Mikhail Grigorenko and Filip Forsberg still on the board. However, with 20 points in 16 games to open this season, it is safe to say the knee is not an issue.

And hes trollin' harddd! (where did i call him a liar?)
Anyway, back on subject. Rielly imo is doing great. I think he may be a top 4 calibre d-man in the nhl atm. I just hope he has the drive and work ethic to eventually become a top 2 defender and not get complacent/ regress (like schenn). Franson is trade bait now.
