You couldn't pay me any amount of money to play in the KHL.
I've seen Rollerball, I know how that works
Lots of recognizable names in this game.

Good game so far, worst part is Giannones announcing. McD looks good, but Hedman looks a hell of a lot better! I was also always a huge Nigel Dawes fan when he was with us, glad he's looking good over there!

Lots of familiar guys in this game. From McDonagh's team (Astana):
Nik Antropov
Brandon Bochenski
Nigel Dawes
Vitaly Yeremeyev
Andrew Hutchinson
Victor Hedman
From Dinamo Minsk:
Joe Pavelski
Evander Kane
Tim Stapleton
Cory Murphy
Lukas Krajicek
Daniel Corso
And a few other guys on each team with a handful of NHL games.
I'm not watching--is Kane playing? He was suspended a couple games.

You forgot Rinne on Minsk!
But I'm pretty sure they mentioned Kane was in. I think his suspension was just 1 game?

Sorta spoils it, but there's the team rosters and game stats.

His contract ends after the 13-14 season which would put him at 30 years old..SJ isn't going to let him go for nothing. I'd like to imagine he's a career Shark.

i dunno. first year as an UFA...i can see him trying to cash in but who knows. maybe Sharks will give him a good contract. he is very underrated.

He's a fan and team favorite out there and with a $4mil cap hit, that's a solid price for the kind of game he plays/numbers he puts up. I feel like the Flyers or Bruins would be teams with an inside edge on him (for no real reason aside from each team's play styles) if anything were to go down. Don't get me wrong, I would kill to have a guy like him on the Rangers and it would help with our centers..I suppose nothing's out of the question.

I can't imagine cap space will be the Rangers' greatest resource that summer.
but I agree, big fan of Pavelski.

The ice surface doesn't look that huge...
I wonder if Yeremeyev would've amounted to anything in the NHL.

Am I the only who thinks that every chant from this KHL crowd sounds exactly like they're in the Pit in The Dark Knight Rises?

I only turned it on in time for OT. Don't think I saw one hit thrown.

There isn't any hitting in NHL overtime either.
