Tuukka will be fine...he finished the period thus indicating that it wasn't a crucial blow to his health...athletes tweak things and have minor injuries alll the time...He's airing on the side of caution as he stated in his post game interview. What do people expect that he is stagnant during the lockout and comes out stale when the NHL resumes and stinks it up? He's tearing it up right now in the Czech aka a great hockey market and showing why he's one of the best in the world at what he does. He will be prepared to be the backbone of the Bruins whenever our beloved NHL season returns.
One? Seems like this is more like number 3 or 4 isnt it?
Nope, it's 1. He had never missed a game with a groin injury (at least in his NHL career) prior to his injury last year. In fact, prior to that the only other time he'd missed any games at all was in his rookie season when he missed a whopping total of 3 games with a minor lower body injury.
He had minor knee surgery two off-seasons ago, but it never caused him to miss any time.

Such a band-aid.
So, actually, it's 2, right? He had a groin injury last year(1) which resulted in him missing significant time. Now he has another groin injury (2). All reports indicate it's minor and I hope it is...but I don't see how it can't cause a little bit of concern when a player has an injury to the same area in short succession.

A little bit of concern? When people in this thread are saying his career is in jeopardy?

Fair enough I was considering this latest tweak related to the initial injury. The point remains the same ... the notion that Rask *phrase of the week* "just can't stay healthy" is ludicrous.
And no, I honestly am not concerned in the least. Or at least not to any more degree than I am when any other Bruin of importance experiences a minor injury. As a) it's bound to happen and more often than not athletes recover and b) I have more pressing things to worry about

I probably missed those posts. I think folks here are rightly concerned about whether he can stay healthy for an entire year playing at an NHL pace. He played 23 games last season and got hurt (groin). Out for 19 games at the end of the season. If the injury hadn't occurred at the end of the season, I would be curious what that number would have been.
Played a handful of games (7-8) this season and got injured again (groin).
I don't think it's unreasonable to wonder whether he can actually go a full season at an NHL pace.
Rask is playing today. He has had 1 significant injury since 03-04 missing 19 games. He was ready to go after a couple games into the playoffs. He dressed for the last 2 games.
Here is how many games he has played each season starting in 03-04:
International - 47,50,43,63
North America - AHL and NHL - 59,74,58,29,23
Only once was he limited for more than 3 games to injury.
Be concerned if you want but please end this stupid overreaction thread. He is not injury prone.

Don't you think players might be less willing to play though injuries overseas?
Yes, which is what Rask did. Might've not pulled himself out mid game in NA, but did so as a precaution overseas. Doing so clearly didn't hurt since he's back to game action now.
