This weeks card is pretty weak. My only beef with the tourney format is getting useless fights like Chandler/Gono while waiting for another tourney victor.

Main Card:

Champ Michael Chandler*(156)*vs. Akihiro Gono (155.6)
Bryan Baker*(171)*vs. Ben Saunders*(171)
Damian Grabowski*(241.4)*vs. Dave Huckaba*(255.4)
Ryan Ford*(169.8)*vs. Luis "Sapo" Santos*(170)

Saunders always produces exciting fights & all the MFC fans get to see what Ford can do in bellator.

Chandler/Gono is a joke. Shame on Bellator for putting together that freakshow of a fight.

I actually like this card. Saunders and Baker are two of my favorite Bellator guys, and I'm curious to see what Ford can do.

The Chandler fight is a joke, but I still am interested in seeing how he has progressed.

Anyone watch this?

I wont spoil it for anyone, but there were some interesting bouts.

If you pvr'd it just fast forward the heavyweight bout as it was pure garbage.

The rest of the card is definitely worth watching though.

I watched it. And it was two days ago so I don't care about spoiling it.

I missed the Ford fight, but it sounds like he was losing the whole way and made a nice comeback? Nice to see him win, hopefully he sticks around and can get a few wins together.

Baker/Saunders unfortunately went how I thought it might. Was interesting for the first round and then just a pure beatdown by Baker.

And yeah, Gono. Retirement was the right choice. I was interested in seeing how Chandlere has progressed, but I don't know what I learned from that. Nice KO though.

I finally got watching last weeks card also, it was pretty entertaining for sure.

Fords comeback victory was nice to see, he was on the wrong end of the exchanges for the most of the open round.

Killa B struggles with a wrestler yet again. I really enjoy gow active he is off his back but man, he rarely ever finishes anything. It seems like every fight he sinches in 2 or 3 triangles/arm bars that he never finishes. He seems to be lacking the smarts at times, giving up a position for a lesser position.

This weeks card should be a night af good scraps:

Marlon Sandro*(145.8)*vs. Daniel Straus (146)
Marcos Galvao*(136)*vs. Travis Marx*(135.4)
Carmelo Marrero*(230)*vs. Seth Petruzelli*(225.5) - 230-pound catchweight
Waachiim Spiritwolf*(172.4)+*vs. Marius Zaromskis*(169.8)

Didnt see this one, dont think it was on the broadcast, but they did show the Polish kid Marcin Held vs Derrick Kennington.

Spoil:
Marcin Held is no joke. I could see him surfacing in the ufc in the not too distant future.

How soon do the bellator fighters fight after advancing in the tournament?

How often do champs fight duringa year?

Im new to actually paying attention to mma. Hadnt heard of bellator until a few days ago when a friend of mine mentioned them. im gonna start watching and give it a shot and was confused about the rules.

During the tournaments, fighters usually have 3-4 weeks between fights. Then the winner will wait months to actually fight the champ. Champs are not very active, fighting at best 3 times in a year. And since only tournament winners can fight for the belt, many of the champs fight multiple non-title bouts between title defenses.

Not as often as you'd think. Of course, they have a lot of their events at sites that are not under the rule of state athletic commissions. I've always thought that was kind of shady.

Good night of fights so far, although the stoppage in the Koreshkov/Zaromskis fight was hard to watch.

Zaromskis needs to go find himself a real camp, I thought he had so much potential (and he is still one of my favourite fighters) when he won the Dream tournament, but he has done nothing since, and hasn't exactly progressed his skills either.

Eyepoke? Looks to me like he got hit clean in the side of the head and his equilibrium was scrambled.

Horrible officiating.

The ref who let Zaromskis take all those shots should never work a fight again.
