I said bring him up back when Boulton was taking up a spot on our roster, and said Stephen might not impress us, but is more deserving and won't be a passenger like POS Boulton. People laughed at me too. I actually didn't expect as much out of Stephen as we got. Boulton was just Al Trautwig BRUTAL pretty much.
Only it took until Josefson was taken out for Stephen to get his chance. Pete had pulled the plug on Boulton once Zajac was back in the lineup for good.
Tedenby could be as good as Brian Gionta if he had his brain no doubt. The biggest problem with Tedenby offensively is his lack of finish. He had no finish at all last NHL season. His goal in Albany the other night was impressive, and a good step forward cause I've seen him get chances like that before where the shot went wide when he was at point blank range.
Hopefully if he's put into the NHL he can step up like he did in 2010. He was our best player when Maclean was coach which really says something. Someone needed to step up then, and he did. Last year he didn't, but all in all he really didn't have to. He's gonna have to this year. Everyone is gonna have to if we're gonna replace the scoring we lost.
Some of Tedenby's plays in that 10-11 season were unbelievable. That goal against the Islanders just shows what skill he has.

Last season was a bit of a cluster**** as a whole. It's to be expected, really. Totally new coach and a new system, and a lot of new players. And we all know DeBoer's preferences, which I assume are what lead to Palmieri's special treatment for the first month and a half.
Tedenby had a really good streak last December I guess. Right after he deflected that goal in, which was his only goal last season. I remember him ripping it up for a couple games, and Deboer rewarded him by putting him on the line with Elias, and Sykora. One game he even saved a goal. Then he fell off again.
I swear he got the most scoring opportunities out of anyone on the team for a little while there. Probably the first month or two of the season. He had so many breakaways, but the frustrating part was he couldn't finish. He would do something fancy, and hit the glass with his shot, or a defender from the other team would catch up to him, and knock him off the puck. If he fixes that he could be a 2nd line player I think. He might play good with Kovy, but that line might cause heart failure defensively.

Henrique, as expected, looked like he had no business being in a farm league. The Phantoms had both Schenn and Couturier on the ice and Henrique was by far the best guy on the ice.
I like the newcomers McPherson and DiSimone a lot. Of course, it's only one game that I've seen, but McPherson played the body well, and was more than willing to jump in front of the other team's shots.
DiSimone had probably the prettiest goal I have ever seen scored in Albany. A 1-on-2 where he pulled the puck through his legs, forehand to backhand, then shouldered his way to the net and slipped it 5-hole. He was full of energy all night.

It's at 1:13, it plays twice, after the Henrique penalty shot. You can hear everyone in the arena, including myself, going "Ohh!" after he made the first move.
Oh no, he's gonna be four and two! And the game before he let in a whopping ONE GOAL on 25 shots.

I haven't been following the Titans, so I have no idea how he's played previously. I just know he didn't look great tonight. But I've heard he played last night, so I would say that a back to back start probably didn't help.

Wedgewood has been playing amazing, and while the whole team struggled a bit tonight, only 1 goal was really on Wedge.
Ridiculous statements by a bunch of people who don't watch Trenton games. Trenton mgmt + coaching is VERY high on Wedgewood, and so are all the fans. First goal on Wedge was a PS, another was a PP goal, the other Wedge left the puck for the DMan who failed to pick it up and let Toledo pot it in.

Thats not my point, it was an over reaction I'll admit that but I'd much rather him develop in the AHL playing in the Devils system wtih the Devils style of play rather than on the Flyers affiliate.

We ARENT "The Flyers Affiliate". We are "The Flyers And Devils Affiliate".
If we weren't developing players the way the Devils wanted, why would they send us players + take players from us last year and this year?
We are our own Entity, we arent the Flyers. Also the skill level in the ECHL is much higher due to the lockout, with many players who would normally be in the AHL currently now in the ECHL.
I don't really think its fair for anyone to say Albany is a better location than Trenton right now. There's no "Devils' System" in Albany and its probably better for Wedge to get a season under his belt that'll allow him to more easily transition to a higher level of play.
