With the isles move to Brooklyn, they are gonna try to build excitement in the next 1-2 seasons. They are already taking STH deposits.
I expect we will see Wang open his checkbook like he did when he first bought the team, when he was expecting a new arena and the Isles added Osgood, Peca and Yashin to the roster. The Isles improved 41 pts in the standings and made the playoffs.
Isles have a deeper group of young talent, then they had back in 2000. So, I'm not expecting as many moves, maybe 1-2 big additions. Young vets, on deals that go beyond 2015-2016 (1st season in Barclays).
Isles won't be trading prospects for prospects imo. I expect them to first pursue some 2013 ufas and if that fails, I think they will look to trade prospects for established, young, nhl talent.
