And not much he could do about the goal either:

Curiously enough, the last time Jokerit allowed their opponents to score on the powerplay was on October 5th against Tappara when Tuohimaa was also in goal.

Always better to put the times. The goal against is at 1:49.

No longer an Oilers prospect but Czerwonka is retiring from hockey.

Jeff Hollick (@JHollick_ICE)
ICE Breaking News ... Drew Czerwonka has retired from hockey. ICE GM Jeff Chynoweth will have comments on Pre-Game Show. #kootenayice

1 assist and 6 PIMs for McCarron in his first game.

If he doesn't see a pro career ahead of him then good for him.

Always sad to see someone realize their dream is dead, but probably a very sensible decision by the young man. I wish him the best of luck!

LaLeggia's DU put a 5-1 beating on Khaira's MTU.

Both had a point.

PPG for LaLeggia. PPA for Khaira.

Thanks for that, kind of surprised that the Oil Kings didn't play tonight being a Friday and all.

Did you watch?

They do post highlites on the DU site for anyone interested, and also have an interview with DU coach.

Watching the post game interview with DU's coach it sounds like Mich Tech actually played very well despite the score. DU's coach said it was the best Mich Tech team he has seen in 19 years. It seems like DU's goalie was fantastic.

Nice goal by Laleggia. Wrist shot from the riight side about ten feet across the blue line. He also put another wrister off the post. This one was off the rush and the MT goalie never moved.

Khaira came close to scring as well. Used his big body to screen a defender right in front of the net, then turned a hit the post with the DU goalie beat on the play.

haha keep getting the teams mixed up. Brittain is sick... nobody has ever heard of him though since he was drafted by florida and is behind markstrom. Might make him easier to acquire

Nah, I was trying to find a stream for it though and found out DU has their own streaming service, "Pioneer Vision". It's $9/mo for all their home games and some select road games.

It might be worth checking out. $9 for 5-8 games of LaLeggia isn't too bad.

LaLeggia got another goal and an assist tonight. No points for Khaira, Jones, McCarron or Simpson.

Laleggia could be a huge steal.

It was not about his ability to play hockey as a skilled offensive dman but how would he do in the NHL being so small.

I think a lot of people have heard of Brittain, he was high on the radar for the goalie job for Team Canada last year but he got injured. Great goalie, played for Canmore in the AJHL.

Thanks for that. Great start for Laleggia. It'll be interesting to see how he looks as a pro in a couple of years.

Too bad, I remember him having potential to play a bottom 6 role someday.
