And a needless slashing penalty for Norfolk in the offensive zone.

Both have been consistently good. I wish that they'd put Parent together with Lindholm again. Vatanen even had a nice stretch on the PK unit.

Both looked OK in the first, with Lindholm making smart plays and Vatanen using his heavy slap shot. To start the 2nd, they had difficult shifts not being able to clear the puck. Vatanen especially lost the puck a few times after trying to block shots.

Palmieri with a lot of time in front of the goal and hits the post or someone in front. Close, so close...

Nice to hear. It's a stretch, but I wonder about the possibility of a 3/1 PK system. Put two D down low, and Vatanen and a forward up high. That would keep Vatanen out of trouble in the corners and in front of the net, and he'd be able to use his skating and stickwork to good use. Not to mention, it might create some offensive opportunities with his transition game.

I'm just thinking out loud here, but it's an interesting thought. A little bit outside the box too.

Holland is the only forward tonight that has looked like a serious threat throughout.

Vatanen(?) blasts it. Maroon puts away the rebound.

1-0 Norfolk! A rebound after a heavy shot from the blueline.

How can you loose the puck while defending?

Ok, never mind. Anyone have a link?

I was going only by the shot.

So far signing Parent is definitely paying off.

You can, right _after_ blocking the shot...

Bobkov looking strong.

They've been trying Parent all over the line-up. It seems like they've settled on pairing him up with Clark, from what I can tell. He threw the body a bit on the PK.

It's interesting seeing the contrast between Palmieri and Etem at the professional level.

Anyone starting to get worried? He hasn't even shown flashes of being a good player at the AHL level.

I hope we at least see some progress two months from now. I can wait two to three seasons if that's what it takes, so long as there's a steady progression.

A PK once again. Almost all of them caused by slashes and hooks in the offensive zone. Over-excited forechecking?
