Was out driving for most of the game today. Saw the first quarter though when Matt Ryan marched down the field on what goes by the name of the "Eagles defense" and through complete fault of their own, couldn't get out of multiple 3rd downs, some with long to go. I knew then this game was over.
Turned on Merrill and he was just lambasting this team's effort. It was a dreary 2 hour drive for me through the rain.
But you know what? I'm happy! This humiliation of a loss, is just what this organization needed. Not to get things turned around, but to get Reid fired. The last bastion of the Reid mystique in his perfect post bye record is gone, and he should soon follow.
They were against a team that was 1-5 and were only donw by 12 at most.
Carolina is better than their record suggests - didn't they hang on in Atlanta til Atlanta kicked a GW FG as time expired? They dropped at least one other really close game like that too. I was just pointed to the never say die - Cutler came out in the fourth like a man on fire. Vick and the Birds? Notsomuch.

Yep, four more means no better than .500 which Lurie said was unacceptable last year.

If the Giants run away with the division, which they very well could despite their current 1-2 record vs. NFC East, the Eagles could lose less than 4 and miss the playoffs. Looking at the rest of the schedule 3-4 more losses seems to be more likely than not.

Still Cutler was nearly perfect in 4th qtr driving Bears down field , Bears D scored another TD (6th of year tying franchise record)
Bears adjusted after 3 turnovers by Cutler in 1st half and an OL that gave up 6 sacks to go with Cutler slinging it accurately in 2nd half and OL not giving up another sack

Vick after the game said he'd support a QB if that's the direction they decided to go in. All the other players interviewed by WIP postgame beat around the bush and denied any lack of fire/pride/heart/etc. Shady on the other hand blasted the entire team for not playing with heart.

Good. He was just about the only one to show up. Start taking the ball out of vick's hand and let him run it 30 times a game.
