Colorado losing 56-0 to Oregon at the half.

It's very fortunate I have DirecTV, which has not picked up the Pac12 network, and have not been able to watch a single game. It's like they don't even exist.

don't worry - the CU football team actually does not exist so you're not missing much.

We just have to send out 50 students to play every Saturday.

Unfortunately for the Broncos I don't think Norv survives another offseason.

damn the Broncos look good. For all of our late season collapses just the opposite may happen this year. I'm on the Chris Harris / Peyton Manning bandwagon.

Maybe he'll get a pat on the back. More than he deserves.

Hey don't worry - Culberson is in the minors now, where I am sure Danny OD will really trigger his development and take him to new places never seen, like raising his average from .136 to .200

I an going to start at WR for my brothers flag football team next season, I'm pretty sure that means I'm good enough to start for CU.

I know I'm pretty anti-Joe Mays (btw, broken leg, out for the year), but even I can't believe the effect taking him off the field has had on the Broncos' defense. They look...good.

Mays was horrible. I can't believe he started for so long.

Mays' entire game is just ramming his shoulder into a guy as hard as he can. If he doesn't knock the guy down, it's a missed tackle 8-yard gain.

I've never seen the dude actually wrap his arms around a ball carrier. People get all excited because he hits hard but it's so completely inaccurate. I gotta believe Del Rio has tried time and time again to get him to tackle a runner appropriately but Mays never has changed.

Had they fired him last year I think they could have escaped a complete rebuild, now it looks much worse.

Mays might miss the rest of the season with a leg injury.

Rockies down to 4 candidates...

1) Walt Weiss
2) Jason Giambi
3) Matt Williams
4) Bench Coach Tom Runnells

Really hoping they pick Weiss, but I am afraid they're gonna peg Giambi and retain Runnells. It's always the status quo of suckdom for this organization.

Williams is also said to be a finalist for the Toronto job.

Williams is the best option of those 4, IMO. Weiss certainly has all the makings of a great manager in the future, but it reeks of nepotism when you see a former Rox player make the jump from high school coach to MLB manager. It would be great to get him back in the organization though. Runnels is underwhelming at best, while Giambi is, well, Giambi. Williams at least has been a big league coach for the last two years, and always seemed like a smart leader when he was playing.

Really, nobody on that last makes me feel good about the team going forward. Mired in mediocrity, hoo-ray.

Its a tough schedule to open with. 2 straight road games against teams opening their home schedule. Teams tend to play their best on home opening night. It will get better, the Nuggs are a pretty decent team.

Never thought I'd see the day where CSU was a far superior team to CU. Maybe it's just the scedule...but man CU is terrible. I think my former high school team could beat them no problem.

I doubt that. When you're playing ranked teams that are considerably better, you will get blown out.

But look at your high school team, how many of them got D1 scholarships?

Well a Colorado High School team probably wouldn't beat them but a top end Texas High School might give them a run for their money.

I'm seriously ready to head to the fcs. A decade of getting crushed, with no hope in sight.
