Great to see some hockey and they really had a lot of fun, the guys who stay should do this once a month.
And we the fans had a lot of fun too. It was bittersweet when it finally ended, not knowing when we'll see these guys on the NHL ice again, but it was nice to get my mind off the lockout for awhile. Helping the charity raise over $300,000 with our ticket purchase felt good too!
Ryan Dempster was awesome as coach. That fight with Carcillo was comedy gold. The deadpan look on Dempster's face after he dumped Dan over the boards...priceless.

Yes, overall the evening was great- the game left me a little bit wanting at times, but the comedy more than made up for it. Carcillo was hilarious all night long. Dempster was great, Burish was great. It was funny it looked like Backstrom was trying to gift Sharpie a goal at one point and he just stumbled all around the crease smacking everything and everyone with his stick except for the puck, lol.
There was some actual hockey played too, in bits. Staal is something to see in person- Hawks couldn't clear the puck at one point due to what seemed like Staal's heroic solo effort on the forecheck- he was just there ready to intercept every first pass. Mostly though, it was guys trying to make each other look like fools with fancy passing and dangles- the no contact meant anyone and everyone can and would skate right through middle trying to deke around the entire team, because they nly had to worry about getting pick pocketed as opposed to laid out lol
Also, it was 11,649 fans I think they said, raising a total of $323,500. Was a real feel good moment for everyone.
