Hurricane/Tropical Storm Sandy "Frankenstorm" @ New Jersey - Hold on to your butts
Welp, someone may have been joking when they suggested this, but I think we did one for Irene, so it seems acceptable
I'm ready generator, pump, snacks, gas. Bring it on ^_^
Here's to everyone making it through the storm safely. Don't be stupid.

Fun fact: Had there been a season going on right now, the Hurricanes would have been coming to play in NJ this Tuesday

At least it's October and not April.
Because we know our luck with Hurricanes in the Spring...
I thought I lucked out.
I had company over this weekend and they left a **** ton of booze, snacks, etc that helped to fill up my pantry.
Then I realized the ******** used up all my toilet paper and I still had a to go battle the crowds panic shopping.

Generator ready to go. Chainsaw ready to go. Food in the house and gas for the grill. DVD's of hockey games ready to go.
I hope with all this prep we don't get a drop.
Stay safe all

This is why you need stockpiles. I have enough TP to last for years.

Essentially we would have been getting Hurricane Sandy and Hurricane Carolina coming into town over the next 2 days
My neighborhood is certain to lose power so going to that game on Tues would have been a nice escape, but the NHL clearly wanted me to find other things to do

We have a small generator: basically enough to keep a refrigerator running and maybe one or two essentials, but we have gas for it so we'll deal if we end up having to use it. Plenty of food and water. My only concern if we lose power is how long my beer will last. But I'm up for the challenge (even if its in the refrigerator that will be hooked up to the generator). We don't have flooding issues in this town, or in our house, so I'm not concerned in that regard. I just need to keep my power because I don't want to lose my precious internet

I live alone, I shouldn't have to stockpile anything. It's supposed to be a perk.
Back in college, though, one of my roommates made a habit of stealing toilet paper from campus bathrooms. At least 4 or 5 rolls over the course of a week.
We wound up with so much toilet paper at one point, that we built a time out box in the corner.
We had nowhere to put it all, it was our only option.

Ya, but that's college grade toilet paper. One step above standard prison issue. I have a stockpile of the good stuff.

Child, please. Regardless of how much TP you may have, it will never be a stockpile.
At least, not compared to this.

Should the rain be bad tomorrow morning? I'm trying to go to open hockey early tomorrow and hope that Floyd hall isn't closed.

Appreciate it, today we spent the day filling up every gas can in sight and fueling the trucks up.
There's going to be a retarded amount of calls

When this country goes into crisis over a shortage in 2-ply cotton soft tp... we'll all know exactly who is at fault.
