I think we should just draft everyone with the last name Smith. Mike, Austin, Reilly, Gemel, we have good luck with them.

I haven't been able to catch a game so far but can anyone tell me how Alex Chiasson has played so far?
Is he adjusting well to the pro game?
Was he injured last game?

Thanks for your input!

He's looked alright. He's only had 3rd line minutes for the most part. He missed the last 2 games with the flu.

He's been disappointing as far as I'm concerned.

Good lord, Gemel Smith! Another goal and assist tonight. He's on a roll.

I had the opportunity to sit behind the net in the end Legace played for periods 1 and 3 of the PEI Halifax game. Max looked pretty good even if he gave up 7. There were a couple few on the weaker side, but about a handful of chances point blank where he made great saves. His highlight was in the 2nd period, he stoned MacKinnon twice on a partial breakaway. They really were awesome saves that should show up in some Q league highlights somewhere, they even reviewed it because it almost looked impossible not to score. I also thought he was smart handling the puck.

Mark is covering the Euro players stats weekly so I figured no need to keep doing it. The only key players not mentioned technically aren't prospects anyway (Benn, Larsen, Wandell).

Here is this weeks update.

I think the biggest Euro note from the week would be Esa Lindell going down to the Finnish 2nd league.

Friday night on one of FCS channels on Fios I noticed Colorado College will have a televised hockey game. I don't think the Texas Stars have a game so it might be a nice opportunity to check out Scott Winkler.

Thanks for the eye-witness perspective.

Yeah, I should add a disclaimer that anytime you see that "H" logo come up in the opponent box to remember that he's going against the MacKinnon juggernaut so take the results with a grain of salt.

This is a little late, but still worth watching. Winther's goals from this weekend were all pretty nice. Not Jagr or Benn nice, but hey.

Dunno about that. Stransky wasn't expected to put up the amount of production that he did. G. Smith is expected to be one of the OHL's top scorers on a strong team. Stransky has that pro-style projectable frame while G. Smith is your typical undersized speedy player who's going to dominate juniors but may not translate it to the pros.

Sucks to watch him play for such a bad team, though.

Is there a SM Liiga trade deadline? I know Carl Klingberg was loaned/traded to Timra from Frolunda in the SEL.

Henri Kiviaho made 26 saves in a 4-3 win on Wednesday. He's made 12 saves so far, and his team is leading 3-2 in the 2nd period, in a game today.

Lindell's junior team is playing Kivaho's today, but he isn't in the game. He did pay for the U-20 team on Wednesday in a 10-1 win. He picked up 1 assist in over 23 minutes of ice time. Jokerit doesn't have a SM-Liiga game today, but they do have one tomorrow. I don't know if Lindell is out of the junior game because of injury or if he's called back up to the men's league though.

Bystrom played 12:49 in a 2-0 loss on Tuesday, and he played 16:45 in a 3-0 loss on Thursday. Molin played 39 seconds in a 4-2 win.

Molin's U-20 team and Bystrom's U-20 team played today, but only Molin played. He picked up 2 assists in the 5-2 loss.

Lagace might be the most unlucky goalie I have ever seen. 4 goals tonight have gone in off his own defence. He played very well despite his goals against
