I'd do it, would give us a solid top 6. Our D will be weak but our D prospect depth is incredible so the loss would be bearable. The inclusion of Lupul makes me hesitant, but if Lupul fails i can see him walking as a FA in which case hed return to Toronto where he had a career year.

If we wouldn't trade skinner for Rick Nash, were not trading him for this. We have no need for these players. Hes pretty much untouchable.

Carolina says no to this, need and value-wise they get hosted but I agree with the poster who said Gardiner would be much more important need on our roster and having too many good goal-scorer(Kessel, Lupul, potentially JVR) would really make up for acquiring Skinner. Gardiner was one of our line bright spot on D-core last year and it looks like he will be relied on to carry a bigger load for the next few years.

I say Carolina gets hosted but both teams decline the offer.

Burke has already said he's not trading Gardiner

Also I would rather Duchene... a better playmaker and sure he had a rough season but the potential is there... I would do Gardiner + or even Lupul + but not both... they're are 2nd and 3rd most player
