I don't know. I don't think I could stand being a Rangers fan. Three straight seasons and they choked away every one. I can think of nothing more painful than being one strike away from winning the world series TWICE in the same game, and ending up losing. Especially since the Rangers do not have WS championship. The gut wrenching pain of going through the playoffs and it ending like that, at least if they lose in the Wild Card game this year the pain won't be as intense.
This is where Lomardi needs to get a lot of credit. He'd brought in guys that already won and a group of guys with a chip on their shoulder.
Then you gotta bring up the Buffalo Bills teams of the 90's
2001 Lakers were close but at that time, the first round was only best-of-five. They swept every series before losing Game 1 in the NBA Finals. But of course, they did sweep the next four games. So in essence, they won each series by having a winning streak in each one.
The 2004 Red Sox were kinda like that. Swept the Angels in the ALDS. Lost the first 3 games in the ALCS, but swept the next four. Swept the Cardinals in the World Series.
The only thing that "tainted" our Stanley Cup run was our mediocre regular season. I wish the haters would shut the hell up about it.
I don't get how you can be an NBA player, play basketball your entire life, practice every single day and can't even make 50% of your FT's.
Howard should be embarrassed, 3-14? wow.
I never understood this either. I don't care how big your hands are, if you practice shooting free throws every day as a professional basketball player, how can you not make at LEAST 50% of those. It's the same freakin' spot every time!
I mean, with the amount he practices, 3-14? LOL. He should be able to PUNT the ball and go 3-14.
