That was such a huge win by the Bears, makes you really think this is one of those special years, this team has got to get that bye, 13 wins locks it up IMO. Giants don't look like a 13 win team at all, that leaves San Francisco, so we need to take that game.
9 Sun, Nov 4 @Tennessee 1:00 PM WIN
10 Sun, Nov 11 vsHouston 8:20 PM LOSS
11 Mon, Nov 19 @San Francisco WIN
12 Sun, Nov 25 vsMinnesota 1:00 PM WIN
13 Sun, Dec 2 vsSeattle 1:00 PM FOX WIN
14 Sun, Dec 9 @Minnesota 1:00 PM FOX WIN
15 Sun, Dec 16 vsGreen Bay 1:00 PM FOX LOSS
16 Sun, Dec 23 @Arizona 4:25 PM FOX WIN
17 Sun, Dec 30 @Detroit 1:00 PM FOX WIN
That is what they are going to have to do. Since Houston and Green Bay are both at home, you'd like to think they can take one of those and then leave a loss for an upset against someone else, which is likely to happen. The San Francisco game is everything though because that is the tiebreaker.

Wouldn't at all be surprised to see this Bears team add on another 3, maybe even for losses. Unfortunately i think they're taking advantage of a bad schedule. Their best win is still only against the Cowboys, who've proven to be pretty awful.
The Bears have to play Houston (arguably the best team in the NFL), SanFran, and Green Bay still, and the Vikings twice.

Wouldn't surprise me at all either, I just don't see this team winning 3 playoff games in a row to make the SB, so I see the bye as an absolute must...will surely need a couple more big comebacks like yesterday.

There are only 8 teams that are more than 1 game over .500 in the NFL. The Vikings aren't good, you can't win with Ponder as your QB. I still think the Vikings end up last in the NFC North.
Before the season I had them 6-2 in the first half and 4-4 in the 2nd half. They are a game ahead of my expectations thus far.
I did as well. I'm also real tired of everyone dismissing them because "they haven't played a team with a winning record" BS. Look around the NFL. There are only 13 teams that the Bears could possibly play with a winning record and only 4 of those are on their schedule for 2012 (one of those is the Vikings who I consider a pretender). It's a pointless argument in the NFL. The Packers lost two games to teams without winning records. It's hard to win in the NFL period, so that's not a very good argument. The only concern that people have about this team are the offense getting it together. And, while it's valid, I do think they have time to get to where they need to be.

The Bears beat bad Colts, Jags, Rams, Cowboys, and Lions teams. They struggled against the Panthers. They lost to the only good team they've played...a struggling Green Bay Packers organization.
Nobody is saying the Bears are going to have an awful 2nd half and miss the playoffs. But i dont think its too unreasonable to suggest that this Bears team is not as good as their record would indicate.
*God i miss the bickering on the Hawks boards. had to get my fix in somehow!
Alright, here's my way-too-soon prediction for next year....
At the start of the 2013 NFL season, San Diego, Philadelphia, and Dallas will all have new head coaches, and Gruden will be coaching one of them (in order of likelihood.... Philly then San Diego then Dallas at a very distant third and only with major concessions from Jones).
"Obviously, he's thinking about making a change at the quarterback position," Vick said after the Eagles' third consecutive loss, a 30-17 beating by the Atlanta Falcons. "The thing I do know, when I go and watch the film and evaluate myself, I'm giving us every opportunity to win. I'm trying my hardest. Some things don't go right when I want them to, some things do."
Oh that's the thing you do know, huh? Then you don't know ****.

The Colts are a ridiculous play away from being 5-2 and 1 game out of first place. They've beat the Packers and Vikings already this season and if the playoffs were to start today, they'd be the 2nd wild card team.
Yeah, I was very happy we got the Colts in week 1, you knew it was only a matter of a game or two before Luck started to figure this league out. The health issues with their coach really galvanized them too.
