stauffer has been prone to hyperbole in the past, you would think he would be even more prone with the lack of hockey news recently... so any real hockey news would get him more excited than it otherwise would if the season was happening normally

It does appear that Khabby is struggling with an injury. Maybe he is going to hang them up, which would make way for a trade to add a goaltender.

That would actually make sense. Eberle? Hall?

Is that really a "wow" factor though?

Yikes please anything but Luongo. He has negative value, especially for a team that will need lots of capspace to sign the big 4 long term. I wouldn't trade Hemsky straight up for him. Not sure if I would even just take that contract off their hands. He is 33 years old, what if he pulls a Giguere? Someone said he will be elite for another 5 years, that is far from certain. Luongo could be awful in a year or two for all we know. As soon as he isn't playing like an elite starting goalie that contract is one of the worst in the league.

Depends on who they are trading for. henrik Lundqvist, Pekka Rinne, Even luongo would all be wow factors. Don't you think?

It has to be player related as management stuff can be done now. My guess would be a big time trade, hopefully not for Luongo unless he gets bought out on an amnesty type of a clause and we sign him as a FA.

Seems a bit early for Stauffer to be talking about something like that. No one even knows if there is going to be a amnesty buyout period or not, do we? Let alone if Luongo would sign here.
