RS, any odds of you hearing what he thinks about being left off the list? I would imagine he's not going to say much, but if any of us is likely to hear anything it's you.

Haven't been back to the lockerroom yet today, but I know his truck is here. I think he was working out this morning while none of the other players were here. Likely letting off some steam

He just need to do wht Duchene n O'really did after left off invitations "make the nhl the year after"
Spoke to Siemens yesterday. Wow, was he mad. With good reason though.
He said to me, "thanks for having my back on Twitter though, haha". Kind of an inside joke as last week he was pissed at me that I said Etem "blew by him" on the rush. He was rattled about that.
Really interested to hear some inside scoops on his halfway point to the season rather than looking at stats or reading the podcast link above (which mostly just says what we all knew about him).
E: Guess I shoulda checked the prospects thread. Woops.

He brought me home a game used Gabriel Landeskog stick from his AHL stint. Pretty cool. It's Landy's model and is clearly used. Pretty cool little souvenir to have.

I only got to see Siemens play once this year, but i love what he brings to the table, just checked his stats and noticed an offensive slip from last year which doesnt surprise me as they lost their top offensive threats, but notice Siemens had one more goal and i want to know if his slapper improved

You should tell him to get me one as well I'm (somewhat) nearby.
What's up with Duncan these days? I read that he had his captaincy stripped in Saskatoon and he's seemed to fall off the face of the earth as a legit prospect. Is there still a place for him on the Avs? Hopefully Renegade Stylings can fill me in on the letter situation.

Went over it in the prospects thread somewhere recently. RS seems to believe it was the best thing to help Duncan focus on becoming a better player one day.
As for his legit prospect status, that's just because we're Colorado and he's not a major offensive guy. If he were a Toronto prospect he'd have been in the top 50 easily.
Saskatoon, as well as Siemens, seems to be struggling. What the story behind that?
Lot's of reasons for the team struggling.
Terrible discipline, no offence, bad goaltending, bad special teams. We've lost s few games that we deserved to win, based on effort alone, just had a costly mistake or two. We've really played well the last two games and won last night, ending a 5 game skid.
As for Siemens, he's been inconsistent this year. A few standout games where he was clearly our best D and then a few games where he's looked very average.
In the end, I think giving up the C will be the best thing for him. I've touched on it extensively in the prospects thread. It seemed to be a distraction for him much of last year, having to manage the room last year while butting heads with a few of the guys last season. This has helped him focus solely on the hockey side of things which is refreshing.

Hopefully he can turn it around. Wish he was Scott Stevens primed right now but patience is key with dman I guess.

he doesnt seem to have that meanstreak to him in games that i've seen, except when it comes to defending a team mate, or playing sheriff between whistles.
