Josi is doing quite well playing in Bern with 2 islanders (Streit and Tavares).

3points in 5 games. 1 goal ... 2 assists

I'd be more worried if he were playing somewhere. The last thing the team needs is a lockout AND their brand new highest-paid-athlete-in-TN-history going down to an injury in the same year.

Craig Smith scored with absolutely amazing coast-to-coast goal tonight to put the game even in the third period. He also scored in the shootout with nice moves. Also was good defensively and played very physically as a center. Great player.

Edit. They won 2-1.

Smith is #51 in the black team. His coast-to-coast is at 1:40 and his shootout comes after that.

Craig Smith leaves Finnish KalPa for "Personal Reasons"

http://prohockeytalk.nbcsports.com/2...sonal-reasons/

Nashville Predators forward Craig Smith has left Finnish club KalPa for personal reasons, according to the KalPa website.

Matias Strozyk of Elite Prospects adds that Smith has returned to North America after terminating his deal with the SM-liiga team “through his own initiative.”

It’s unclear why Smith left the team but, statistically speaking, it doesn’t appear to be a performance issue. The 23-year-old had eight points in eight games since signing in early October and averaged almost 19 minutes TOI.

In his last game, an Oct. 27 win over Assat, Smith had an assist and played 22:36, his highest ice-time total since joining the club.

Could be anything. Family emergency, or perhaps just can't deal with the different lifestyle there which is common. Some people can handle it, some can't.

epic performance by rinne. watching him play here in minsk i often ask myself if he is really an nhl-caliber goalie.
zine's video should be titled "rinne at his best 2" while the following one http://www.championat.com/video/hockey/v/59/59401.html is "rinne at his best 1" both showing 1st and 2nd (of 7 in total) goals scored by magnitogorsk thanks to rinne's risky play.

it's a pity nhl coaches can't move to europe during the lockout. i wish we had trotz as dinamo's head coach at least for a month or two.

per Josh Cooper
http://blogs.tennessean.com/predator...d-for-madison/

"Below is an email statement we received from Craig Smith’s agent, Kevin Magnuson, on why his client left Finland. Smith had eight points in eight games for Kalpa of SM-liiga. Overall, it seems pretty straightforward to me — he felt like working out in his hometown of Madison, Wisc. gave him the best opportunity to be fresh and ready for the 2012-13 season, whenever it begins."

Quote:
“Craig is on his way home from Finland today. Although he was enjoying his experience, and doing quite well on the ice, he feels that skating and training in Madison is the best option for him to prepare for the upcoming season,” Magnuson said. “The Kalpa team and management could not have been better and Craig is very appreciative for the opportunity to have the tremendous life experience that he did.”

I've about given up on COR, but I think Bartley can be a solid 3rd pairing guy

Rinne is not another Hextall. Somebody needs to tell him that his puck handling skills aren't that great. After he lost the puck, he should have checked Lisin to knock him off of it.

Bartley needs to improve his upper body strength to play in the NHL. He sometimes has trouble with that in Milwaukee. Mattias Ekholm is the best D-man in Milwaukee at the moment. Jon Blum would be #2 on my list. Bartley would be #3.
