He is on Ottawa's roster if you were to play a game in "play now", in BeAGM he is in the minors.

Also have thought Martin Havlat and Thomas Vanek as options if I don't trade for Stewart.

My lines as for now:

Kovalchuk - Zajac - Stepan
Penner - Peverley - Henrique
Elias - Josefson - Zubrus
Wellwood - Carter - Zharkov

Ps. How good Janne Juvonen will be in a long run?
In my BeAGM, Wellwood was a FA and was 84 overall, so if you give him good playing time he should hit that quicker. Don't play prospects on the 3rd or 4th line as it will slow their progress.

Some guys I've looked at:

Hall - 84, turns into an 85/86 after a year usually and tops off anywhere between 87-89
Eberle - same as Hall
Tavares - traded for him, how does he turn out?
Ryan - see Tavares
Bogosian - traded for him, I know after a few years he's a stud but not sure about short term

Toss me out some names... and also a list of some guys, if anyone knows what they turn out to after a year or so, lmk?

Kulikov
Jack Johnson
Evander Kane
Blake Wheeler
John Carlson
Pavelski
Simmonds
Voracek
Zajac
Grabner
Okposo
Benn
Seguin
Landeskog

Anyone I'm missing?
Ryan Murray usually gets up to 80 overall after 1 year and eventually hits 90, I don't know what Voracek starts at but he is an 88 overall in my GM mode(year 7) and has been there for at least 3 years(when I got him).

If your picking top 3 in draft I recommend Mackinnon over Shinkurak, Shinkaruk starts off at a better overall but after 2 years Mackinnon passes him by a few overalls.

Just finished simulating an absolutely unreal season as Ottawa in 2015-16. We finished with a record of 60-16-6. 126 POINTS!

My young forwards played amazing. Matt Puempel scored 39 goals as a rookie. Kyle Turris hit 80 points. Morgan Klimchuk won the rookie scoring race by a landslide, with 14 goals and 65 assists, good for 79. Hunter Shinkaruk finished behind him in the rookie scoring race with 64 points; 34 goals and 30 assists.

Henrik Lundqvist was amazing as well, he led the league in GAA with 1.90, and had the best save percentage with .934%.

Here's my lineup going into the playoffs. It'll be very interesting in the first round, as I have to face the Rangers. Anderson is their starter and Lundqvist is mine.

Perron (85) - Turris (86) - Shinkaruk (83)
Puempel (81) - Klimchuk (82) - Panik (84)
Daugavins (80) - Zibanejad (78) - Michalek (83)
Osala (78) - Smith (81) - Dziurzynski (78)

Ceci (87) - Karlsson (90)
Hjalmarsson (83) - Cowen (83)
Borowiecki (82) - Jackman (81)

Lundqvist (91)
Engren (77)

Finally, with a descent season(102 points) the Ottawa senators are crown the 2018-19 Stanley Cup champions!!! The first 3 series the Sens were down 2-0 and came back to win each(beat Toronto in 6, NYR in 7 and MTL in 5) then faced the San Jose Sharks in the Finals, went down 3-1 but won it in 7 games

Puempel had 36 goals in his rookie year(playing on the 2nd line), Mackinnon is back to a PPG and Chupp played descent considering he was an 88 overall goalie.

I'll post my next year's lineup and see if I can repeat as the champs.

My Puempel had more goals as a rookie than yours.

Congrats on that cup though!

First off, amazing job with the lineup and second could give me advice if I should do this trade:

Jimmy Howard (83 overall, 30 years old, 5.240m, 5 years)
Cory Emmerton (78 overall, 26 years old, 2.500m, 1 year)
Brendan Smith (78 overall, 25 years old, 1.800m, 1 year)

for

Jhonas Enroth (85 Overall, 26 years old, 5.440m, 4 years)

I'm thinking about this trade because I need a new goalie since Howard didn't do so well last year and would be a good backup for Miller. They don't want Howard but want Emmerton and Smith and they want to get rid of Enroth so I had to compensate for Howard.

All right so after my SC winning season, a goalie controversy rises. Chupp(88 overall 21 years old) is now an 89 overall with still 2 years left on his entry. But Gibson, for some random reason went from an 85 to an 87 playing 20ish games last season and my draft pick is now an 82 overall(19 years old). So I traded Gibson(87), Reinhart(83, didn't pan out being a 1st overall pick 6 years ago) and 3 and 1/2 star D(76 overall, 24 y/o) for S. Elliot(82 D) and Cumiskey(84 RW, 19 years old and 4 and 1/2 stars). Signed Orlov(84 D) so now my line look like this heading into the 2019-20 season:

Korostin(86)-Mackinnon(87)-Voracek(88)
Puempel(83)-Statsny(85)-Cumiskey(84)
Bernier(79)-Smith(83)-Stone(79)
McCrae(72)-Gallimore(77)-Theoret(74) --> all 5 stars for D(PKers)

Murray(90)-Karlsson(89)
Bystrom(86)-Ceci(83)
Orlov(84)-Elliott(82)

Chupp(89)
Lehner(76)

My team is better than last years, so I'm expected another Stanley Cup.

Thanks.

Since you're looking for a new goalie, Enroth looks like a good upgrade. I would do that trade if you don't need Smith and Emmerton. (If they're easily replaceable)

Ironically, my Puempel isn't listed as a rookie skater even though he's 22 and it's his first NHL season. Doesn't matter though, Klimchuk has got the Calder in the bag.

Ottawa Senators back to back Stanley Cup champs Once again we beat the San Jose Sharks, this time in short fashion(5 games). Chupp wins a bunch of trophies(Conn Smith, Vezina and a few others) Mackinnon wins the hart ross, and Puempel, Voracek and Koristen each have 30+ goal seasons. Also the Binghamton Senators won the Calder Cup(mainly cause of Lacasse, 82 goalie) making the Senators the ultimate hockey franchise. *Ottawa was the best team in the league during the season with 126 wins(61-17-4)

Traded away Lacasse(82 G) and Orlov(84 D) for the first overall pick who turned out to be a 78 overall LW with 4 and a half stars Chupp is now up to 91 overall and Bystrom dropped to 82 and he's only 25 years old :/ I guess taking him off the PP(cut his points in half from the previous year) was a terrible mistake

2012-2013 Phoenix Coyotes season is now in Playoff round 2.

I actually managed to be #1 in the West after some of the top teams (San Jose, Chicago) started losing games. Meanwhile Dallas offered me Ryder and I made a superb scoring line of Ryder-Vermette-Cammalleri who has been effective. I finished with a 50-27-6 record (or something like that). New Jersey took the Presidents trophy. Claude Giroux the Art Ross with 99 points. The Rocket trophy went to Cammalleri, on my team. I have always liked to play with him and he sniped 49 goals for me.

However, it has not been all smooth sailing for me as I have been plagued by some injuries. Out for the season in March were Briere, Dubinsky and Yandle. I had to even call up Collberg and Bournival, both acquired in a trade deadline transaction with Montreal for Klesla, prospect and pick.

In the first round of playoff I faced Blues. It was a very low scoring few games. I won 4-1.

Second round pairs

Phoenix - Calgary
San Jose - Los Angeles

New Jersey - Philadelphia
Buffalo - Carolina

Here's an update on my GM connected dynasty.
First season so far 13-6-1-0 (W-L-T-OTL)
My NYI lineup is a bit damaged because I have both Tavares and Couture out for the next five and two games, respectively.
Moulson (82) Nielson (80) St. Louis (87)
Grabner (81) Bailey (76) Iginla (85)
Boyes (80) Reasoner (73) Okposo (81)
Rakhshani (71) Martin (71) Lisin (72)

Streit (82) Visnovsky (82)
MacDonald (81) Hamonic (79)
Morrisonn (78) Carkner (74)

Kiprusoff (87)
Nabokov (81)
I have a deal in the works to get Goligoski and Lehtonen from Dallas so that should get me some defense and goaltending to last for a while. I think this team is decent enough to make a run at the playoffs with 3 players in the top 15 for goals scored (Moulson, St. Louis, and Nielsen) and with 4 players in the top 15 for points (Nielsen in 2nd) I like the lineup so far.
Any suggestions on anything this team is missing?

Better fourth liners instead of Lisin but after that trade for Kari and Goligoski you should be set.

So... since my amazing Sens dynasty is no more, I might as well post about my Panthers dynasty. Here are the lines going into the 2014-2015 season:

Huberdeau (89) - J. Staal (86) - Horton (85)
Gerbe (83) - Berglund (84) - Matthias (82)
Couturier (79) - M. Reinhart (81) - Pakarinen (79)
Upshall (77) - Santorelli (78) - Kopecky (78)

Campbell (86) - Kulikov (85)
Ellerby (82) - Faulk (84)
Klesla (82) - Foster (76)

Gibson (85)
Theodore (78)

Horton, Gerbe, and Ol' Rusty were free agents signings, while I traded for Staal, Berglund, Reinhart, Faulk, and Gibson. Couturier was a waiver pickup.

Notable prospects include:
Hunter Shinkaruk (obviously)
Erik Gudbranson (still 77 overall, disappointingly)
Tomas Kronwall (LW sniper who I drafted 5th overall in year 2, he's 61 overall with 4 yellow stars)

C: Jonathan Huberdeau (obvious choice)
A: Jordan Staal (our best centerman, he deserves it)
A: Nathan Horton (played for Florida before, I think he used to have an A on his sweater but I'm not sure)

We did not qualify for the playoffs in the first two years and picked top five twice, but I think with this year's roster, we should make the playoffs.

If I were you, I would try to get a 1st line LW or a young 2nd/3rd line LW that will be ready for the 1st line next year. And would upgrade your D. Then draft D and RW so when Streit/Visnovski and Ignila/St Louis retire you will have replacements ready to take their spot.

8 years in my GM and last time I saw he had finally hit the mid 70s(4th liner) but if you give him top 2 lines in he first few years in should develop better.

And the streak ends at 2 Played Montreal for the 3rd straight year(2nd rd), but this time they got their revenge, winning in 7 games. My team was pretty much the exact same as the year before except my D which was a little bit weaker(overall probably dropped 7-8 if you were to add them all together) but Chupp went up to a 91. Finished the season with 10 less points(116) and won the Presidents trophy again. Off season was terrible cause most of my guys contracts were expiring, Chupp went from 900k(entry deal) to 9 million :/ So I traded Voracek(88) for the 3rd and 22nd picks(got a 4 1/2 star center and 3 1/2 star forward RW) this is my team for 2021-22 season:

Gunarson(86)-Koristin(87)-Mackinnon(87)
Puempel(82)-Smith(83)-Cumiskey(86)
Bernier(78)-Soljstrom(80)-Stone(79)
4th line: all 5 star D players*

Murray(90)-Karlsson(88)
Nelson(83)-Ceci(84)
McCabe(83)-Jakobsen(79)

Chupp(91)
Lehner(76)

My D got better for last year, but my 2nd and 3rd line centers are both my old 3rd and 4th line centers.

So my Panthers missed the 2015 playoffs... by one point. Our last game of the year was an overtime loss, too. We had 87 points, but I think I'm going to blow up the team in the offseason. Too many of my forwards under-performed.

Midseason trades: San Jose offered me Havlat for a couple scrub prospects, so I accepted that to help my struggling offense. At the trade deadline, I traded Horton + scrubs for Seabrook, because Horton only had 22 points on my top line.

Huberdeau was great, putting up 70 points in his second season, and Havlat finished as a thirty goal scorer. Gerbe did decently well, with 50-something points. All my defensemen impressed me as well, but my other top six forwards sucked ass. Staal only had 51 points, Matthias had 44 points, and Berglund only had 42 points.

Hopefully Shinkaruk joining the team next season really helps us out.

If you were down 2-0 than you couldn't have beaten Montreal in 5 games...

Florida Panthers Offseason Update

Free Agency: Signed no one. I missed out on Patrick Kane, Michael Grabner, and Kyle Okposo!

Offseason trades:

- Gave up Berglund, a 2016 1st and Kris Coronel (3.5 stars, 64 ovr) for Morgan Klimchuk (won the calder, 85 overall center, 4 star potential) and Anton Babchuk

- Scottie Upshall for Cory Emmerton straight up (needed a 4th line center)

- Erik Gudbranson (not developing) and Tomas Kopecky for Leeland Irving

2015-16 Lineup:

Huberdeau (89) - Klimchuk (85) - Havlat (85)
Gerbe (83) - J. Staal (86) - Shinkaruk (81)
Couturier (81) - M. Reinhart (81) - Matthias (82)
Bergenheim (79) - Emmerton (78) - Pakarinen (78)

Campbell (87) - Ellerby (85)
Kulikov (85) - Seabrook (85)
Klesla (82) - Faulk (82)

Gibson (85)
Irving (83)
