option #2
There was also a 1 week window give to NHL teams to send down any guy on a 2way contract that finished last season in the AHL or was on a clear day roster.

In regards to Joey he fails option 1 due to his age, contract, and number of NHL games played. He fails option #2 on all counts as he has a 1way deal, he did not finish last season in the AHL, and he was not on the Griffins clear day roster. (Conklin/Pearce were the goalies on the clear day list)
Thanks for clarifying that situation with a presentation of the rules, well done

Thanks!

Definitely a nice goal. Might be a contender, but I think it was on a 5 on 3 PP which kind of takes away from the goal of the season nomination. He definitely has wheels and has nice hands. Not a bad pick for the 4th round (he was projected to go much earlier)

Those defensemen probably don't see skaters coming in and cutting with that kind of speed.
NHL skating right there.

Järnkrok was chosen for the first Euro Hockey Tour tournament which will be played Nov 7-11 in Finland. It's a season long national team competition between SWE/FIN/RUS/CZE in which each of them host a tournament during the season, leading to the WC.

Marchenko didn't make the EHT roster but he made the "2nd team" which is mostly younger guys and will play France on Nov 6. He's(20yo) the 3rd youngest on the team so it's not simply a group of kids.

Looks like we picked up a good one in Greek Lightning.... It sounds like Pulkinnen is shot and not very good anymore

The best we can hope for is that the transition to NA rejuvenates Pulkkinen. He's always been a boom-or-bust prospect in my eyes and right now he's looking like a bust. That being said he was a 4th round pick, so there weren't many expectations to begin with.

I know we like to bring prospects along slow, but I am starting to wonder just how much time Ouellet is even going to spend in the minors. I think he makes the big show in a hurry.

marchenko's 1st 13 games
~6:45 TOI per game
5 shots
0 points, -3

marchenko's last 7 games
~13:30 TOI per game
7 shots
3g, 2a, 5 points, +6

marchenko scored all his points in his last 6 games, but his increased TOI started 7 games ago vs neftekhimik.

KHL seems not to record PPTOI, but it looks like marchenko has been given a place on 1st PP. 3 of his 5p were on PP, and all his PP points were scored with radulov, CSKA's top offensive player.

Yeah, I'd give him next year at least. Well, he better show that he has 'it' next year.

Nyquist and Tatar better be in the NHL or Tvrdon, Jurco and Pulkkinen ain't getting enough ice time. And there's Järnkrok too.

Awesome, our D-men prospects are really coming along. We've got some very solid depth in the system.

I really want to see Oullete on the World Junior squad, the wings never seem to have any prospects playing for canada, last time was Helm back in 04/05.

Hes almost a lock to make it but Logan Pyett was on the team too, and I'm pretty sure Helm was on the 05/06 team, the stacked team was 2005

I hope so, but he is playing in the Q where its a little more cloudy to judge a prospect than the other CHL leagues.

Ouellett is really underrated, Nathan Beaulieu was the only Q d-man receiving any hype because where he was drafted. Oullett put up similar numbers while playing on team which wasn't nearly as good offensively as Saint John. Oullett is also a beast in his own zone, he makes very few mistakes and can play huge minutes.

The best part of us having Xavier come along so well is that we have Sproul as well.

I've been told by people who follow the Q that they think XO surpassed Bealieu as an NHL prospect last year

Jarnkrok seems to be in a goalscoring slump(again), but he continues to put up assists at a steady pace. His shooting % is below 4 right now. 2+13 in 18 games. May not seem like much but it should be noted that their second best scorer has 12 points and third best has 9 points so it's not like he's in a high-scoring environment this season. It's also good enough for top10 in league scoring.

FWIW, his name is spelled Ouellet, since 3-4 people on this page haven't figured it out yet

I'd like to see Wings get that second best scorer.

My bad, I forgot Helm was a 1987. So he must have been in that world junior tournament in sweden from boxing day 2006 til early january 2007.
