Assuming the season started on December 1, 2013 that would give them exactly a month to build the rink and etc.
As for the sponsors I'm sure the NHL would let them know right away that a new CBA was reached. As for those who made travel plans from the Toronto area and bought tickets at University of Michigan Stadium, you would think the NHL would let them exchange them for tickets at Comerica Park. Although it's Comerica Park capacity is 41,255 and the University of Michigan Stadium capacity is 109,901. So the one negative is how do they decide who gets to go with less seats, plus they have to make it an even number of Maple Leafs & Red Wings fans.
