Connolly and Bozak still available. Looking for young speedster on either wing.
I know from HUT that Connolly is really fast in this game, assuming Bozak is as well. Why dont you just put one/both of those guys on wing and save your trade for something else?
@DarrenDreger "look for the penguins to make some under the radar signings heading into the season, they won't be big names but they fill some of the needs the organization has"

I was looking for a younger guy that would cost less. So would've packaged both for 1 younger guy, then put Colborne at centre.
Hey Winnipeg, don't forget to check the 5th post in this thread for players that teams couldn't sign for reasons beyond their control...Ryan White disappeared early last season and I've got dibs on him once Gomez and my bevy of AHLers come off the books.
Guy wins the Cup and thinks he can just sign whoever he wants all willy nilly...

Every UFA and RFA on the Untouchable List is stil off limits. I'm advancing in 5 minutes.
Can't wait, really want to see if the guys I sent offers to signed. Last time I checked I was the only guy who sent offers to them so i'm hoping they accepted.
Did i not specifically say MULTIPLE ****ING TIMES, nobody on the Untouchable List can have an offer sent to them?
Why the **** am i hearing that Marchand got an offer and Lucic got an offer. Semin should have been obvious enough. The GMs who sent offers to Untouchable players are going to be sending those players back to their original teams + significant compensation as punishment for not being able to follow simple god damn directions.

technically couldnt the one team that offered them contracrs be their original team? Just a thought.
The penguins have announced the signings of Chris Campoli, Taylor Pyatt, and David Steckel. Here is what GM Matt had to say on these signings:
"With a guy like Taylor Pyatt we get a guy who can score, hit, and grind it out with the best of them out there. Chris Campoli is a guy we have had our eyes on and knew he would be our main target on D this offseason. He rounds out our top 6 D nicely, and he is a guy that we will rely on to QB our PP. David Steckel is a face off specialist and a guy that brings us some serious grit. I fully expect him to log serious PK minutes which is somewhere I would like the team to improve on. I know this won't be a popular move with the fans seeing as he took out Sid at the Winter Classic 2 years ago, but this is a business and the two of them will have to get along, and the fans will have to learn to accept him into the community here in Pittsburgh. We have around $9M in cap space and we do plan on making one more serious acquisition before the start of the season or at the beginning of it, so this isn't the last time i'll be at this podium."
Campoli signed on to a 1 year $1.75M contract, Pyatt agreed to a 1 year $0.9M contract, and Steckel agreed to a 1 year $1.45M contract.
San Jose signed CaronWinnipeg signed Ryan White Phoenix signed Semin
Philadelphia signed Lucic and Marchand
Tampa signed Bouchard
-Tampa talked to me about Bouchard, he's fine
-San Jose is sending a 3rd round pick to Boston for Caron
-Phoenix is sending a 3rd round pick to Carolina for Semin
-Philadelphia is sending a 1st round pick to Boston for signing Lucic and Marchand. The Boston GM spoke to me and says he doesn't want to pay $5.7 mil for Marchand so Philadlephia can keep him. In addition to the compensation Boston is already getting for Marchand, the Philadlephia GM will also be sending another 1st round pick to Boston for not paying attention to the league and ignoring my rules on Untouchable Players
Marchand and Lucic went to Philly, so I guess not in that case.
Can't they only go to other teams only if the original team doesn't match and retain?
They could just take the compensation and then trade the picks back for those players so they keep'em. The only downside is the potential salary inflation they maybe would have not gotten if the original GM had more time to negotiate.

For whatever reason, Boston didn't qualify Marchand or Lucic, so they were unrestricted and signed with Philly for no compensation.

Because of the impromptu sim late last night, i was not able to give qualifying offers to them before the UFA period started. Had I been able to connect last night, or the sim not been moved up this probably wouldn't be as much of an issue. If people also payed attention, it wouldn't be an issue either. Anyhow, its an issue thats been taken care of.
Marchand was an RFA, the Boston GM didn't have time to qualify him before i advanced early so since Boston GM no longer wants Marchand at that price, the Flyers also forcefully sent proper RFA Offersheet compensatioin to the Bruins.
So because the Flyers did not follow simple instructions, they got Marchand for 2 1sts, a 2nd, and a 3rd.
Aulie signed with someone because the last time I checked 7 teams sent him offers. And if the Philly GM left the league I have lost all respect for him, he broke the rules and didn't want to own up to it, disgraceful is what it is.
