Why is Forsberg back on the third line? So stupid...

It does not make much sense. I thought he was their best forward the first 10 games and he also lead the team in scoring.

Typical Swedish coaches, seniority is an important thing for them...

For me the main difference isn't how good the top teams are relative to the SEL bottom teams. It's how good the league depth has become. Not many years ago some games were just laughers for the top teams. That's not the case anymore. The league has a pretty lucrative TV deal which has helped tremendously.

The locked-out players have raised the quality further and it helps the league to have DIF, Leksand and Malmö -- teams with over 5k average attendance.

I've wondered this myself for the last three games. He deserved promotion to the first line, and got demoted to the third line. His production has declined after that, I'd say he's only played about 12-13 minutes/game lately. Makes no sense.

Anyone an AIK fan? I was wondering how Joakim Nordstrom has been looking this year. He has really improved so far offensively, at least statistically. I wonder if he is playing a bigge role perhaps?

2011-12: 47 games, 3 goals, 3 assists, 6 points
2012-13: 14 games, 4 goals, 3 assists, 7 points

Pretty big jump so far. I was hoping Nordstrom could become a 4th line center but maybe he has the potential to be a 3rd liner?

He was showing on the junior national teams that he can be more than a 4th liner imo. His minutes have gone from 12 to 15/game, he's playing both PK and PP. I haven't seen enough of AIK to go into details, I think it's just the natural course of development. Getting a bit older, stronger, plays a bigger role in general.

Nordström looks like a player on the verge of a breakout, showing skill on the PP those few seconds he get. He has yet to get a more prominent role on his SEL-team but there is definitely something there.

Can someone tell me a liitle about Henrik Tommernes? 7 points in 17 games, which I'd assume is pretty impressive for a defenseman. Any thoughts on what are his strengths and how his game might transition to the NHL?

Thanks in advance.

Wilhelm Westlund too, B-rated by the CSS but not talked abut much. Well, remains to be seen if he gets ice time.

Niklas Hansson, another 95-born d-man might also get some icetime for Rögle tonight. Less wellknowned than the other two national team d-men in Rögle born 95, Cederholm and Krupic.

Back on the 2nd line today. I've wanted to see him with Bergenstrom and now they're together, good chance to shine.

And speaking of Leksand, de la Rose is put on the first line. First game in a top6 role I believe.

Is Mattias Bäckman injured? He doesn't seem to be in the Linköping lineup tonight.

Also, any updates on Rasmus Bodin?

Bäckman is sick. That time of the year!

No mention of Wikstrands 1+1 performance? 2 goals shy away from all-time record by defender with a plethora of games left , tied with I believe Forsberg for points.

8 goals 4 assists in 17 games.

He is on a crazy roll. I haven't seen him play a whole lot but I doubt he will keep this up very long, eventually he will hit a slump. He leads all D in points now.

He's actually scoreless in six. His real statistics have him shooting at 17%, which might not be something he can keep up, but not crazy, either.

It's not like he's been dominating SEL-2 offensively, Rundblad 10-11-style, either. This is all just a bit weird.

He has a few shootout winners now I believe, helps the stats a bit. You cannot credit his production with luck however, he's been looking as good as his production suggests for the most part. Very excited to see what he can do in the November tournament.

Granberg's out to mid-januari. Re-injured again, same injury. Needs surgery to strenghten that collarbone up.

Åberg and Görtz started the season slow but they have picked it up. I have not seen Görtz or Fernholm a whole lot but Åberg has been the best forward on his team the last few games.

According to mrmadhawk Vikstrand, Burakovsky, and Djuse are close to Frölunda for the next season. If Rönnberg could snatch Rasmus Andersson too I'll be doing cartwheels all along Avenyn.

Very good, only thing missing is a few more goals. He's such a smart two-way player for a guy his age. 53% on draws is also very good for a junior player. His team runs three lines pretty evenly save for special teams, with the fourth line having a significant drop in ice time. Karlsson's gonna log big minutes for Sweden at the WJC aswell, right now looks like the 1st line C.

Splitting the starts just like last year. 93.45 sv% on a very solid defensive team. So, well.
