Talking about actual hockey and not constant speculation and prospect talk.

nothing at all , the attitude of the owners and players is starting to leave me indifferant toward the NHL as a whole.

Waking up gameday mornings knowing there's a game in the evening. It energizes and motivates me through the day.

I miss ignoring my lady on game nights, as she prepares me food and brings me cold drinks

For me: I miss waking up knowing theres a game that day. Post game showers after a big W or big L. Trying to go to sleep after a big win and being to amped up on energy so you just sit there and replay the game the game in your head. Same goes for a loss, too depressed to sleep so you just think. I miss GDT, screaming when the habs score. Going to every game at the ACC when the Habs come to town. So much that I miss that It truly does make me a bit depressed when I realize there's no hockey.
My friend, I am not gay or anything (not that theres anything wrong with that), and I am a leaf fan (not that theres anything wrong with that), but you have a poetic soul. You should try writing for a living.

cheers.

What I miss is the cross ice pass, and the one timer that bulges the twine.

I also miss the big hit at the blue line, with the forward running out of space and the D stepping up. BAM!

I feel the same way these days. And funny thing is, nobody is even talking about hockey in Vancouver. It's like nobody cares what is happening.

It's an 8 months rollercoaster ride. Waking up in the morning happy there will be a game in the evening. Looking at the stats, predicting the results. Talking about the upcoming/past game with people where I work and with my family. Feeling like every game is the most important of the season. Having a look at the habs calendar and having a countdown to the next game against the bruins.

The chills that goes along a pre-game hype show, the players entrance. The feeling of optimism. "Et le buuuuuut", "ET COMPTE". The history that goes along a season : the making of a star, a hot streak, a trade. When I'm "habs mode", I'm having a hard time when the habs have a 2 day break. The second the game is over, I'm like a kid : "is it next game yet?".

When a season ends, it takes me something like 3 weeks to detoxify from habs addiction.

I just miss a good old god damn freaking nhl season and everything that comes with it.

i honestly don't really miss much about hockey anymore - I think I was so disgusted with the whole lock-up thing this time that I came to terms with the season being lost long before it was cancelled and was more disgusted by the NHL and the NHLPA than anything else. I don't even really care to follow the Dogs this year, really. I probably will feel differently once snow hits, and then follow the Doggies!

I took a vow to never again purchase anything NHL related, so I suppose that factors in. No more shirts, hats, tickets, mugs; nothing!

Subban's goal celebrations and the inevitable crying and whining from conservative hockey pundits that follows.

Frankly the Charbonneau Commission is more entertaining than 95% of the hockey we had in the last 20 years.

Just being able to talk games, stats, streaks, etc. with the people that I run into on a daily basis. Also, wearing a Habs jersey to college on game days vs. Toronto, Boston, Ottawa, etc.

That being said, I've never been as busy as I am right now and having no hockey to watch is kind of the most depressing blessing I could have.
