Both Oilers prospects Ewanyk and Moroz will be representing the WHL in the Subway series on Nov. 14 and the 15th. Not sure if it been mentioned but here's a link. http://www.ontariohockeyleague.com/a...series-rosters
Gagner scored twice yesterday.
First goal was a solo rush and he totally undressed three guys to score. Second goal was a one-timer from his usual spot off to the right of the keeper.
I wanna see this Gagner goal, but I can't get past all the angry german everywhere.
It took me a while to find it as well. In the highlight section of the page click the arrow on the bottom right. The game was EC KAC vs Red Bull Salzburg
maybe, but then why is Omark's pace so far ahead of Gagner? They are playing on the same sized ice surface against the same compitition.
Because Omark thrives on the bigger ice. We all know he has the talent, he just can't quite translate in the NHL. Omarks pace on bigger ice is usually right up with the best of them

Ding ding ding the most logical post of all the Omark debate threads we've had. Omark's game translates better on the bigger ice surface. He may not be made for NHL but it doesn't mean he sucks. YOu can convince anybody that DArcy Hordachuk is better skill wise in almost any aspect of hockey than Omark.
Look at the Olympics, when its in NA rinks USA or CAnada win. When its in Euro rinks the Euro teams win. I hate to say it be it isn't "our game" we just play better when its our rules.

I'm not going to begin to suggest that Gagner will keep pace with him but for reference take a look at Omarks point pace in his first four games.
It is a different league and ill agree Omark does have a lot of assistance. It's an open, larger ice surfaced, offence first league. There are endless variables.
One could ask himself why Omarks pace is so much higher than Spezzas since they're in the same league. Seems more relavent considering the league and games played. Omark doesn't make good decisions in tight spaces or he tends to over think them. I guess his speed or lack there of less of an issue with the larger space and clearly better line mates.
Gagner out produced him on the same line in the same league for the best comparison overall. If anything, Omarks too cute for NA.
Do you guys think that if Omark keeps tearing it up a team might want to trade for him?
I suspect depending on what Zetterberg has to say that Detroit could take a shot at him. Question becomes do they take both Brunner and Omark or just stick with Brunner?
@JLeggy21 On my way to get some dental work done. Thought wearing a cage on the ice prevented these kinds of things #brokenjibs
That's highly unfortunate... and spooky that buddies RNH and Laleggia get their teeth knocked in within a week of each other.

Yes, that is unacceptable. Actually, it's unfortunate because I thought he had a great Jr. career, and was someone that I was looking forward to seeing develop. I actually think this guys has a slight chance to, someday, play in the biggs.

Gagner deserves more credit than he gets around here, the guys had 5 40+ point seasons and its not like he gets spoonfed minutes I recall him starting on the 4th line lw but he adjusts his game and plays hard all the way back up to #2C the guy wears his heart on his sleeve and fights to get the crowd in the game or protect a player, with all the new high caliber players he seems to become an after thought, not for me tho Sammy g is still one of my faviroites
