I think you can never go wrong with extraneous nudity and gory killings so most slasher flicks get my vote. Personally, the religious / satanic movies generally hold my intrigue more than the zombie, werewolf, vampire genre.

Agree.
Hockey masks (we all love hockey) and chainsaws (I use them frequently) are part of everyday life. And for ONG, I suppose extraneous nudity is too.
But anything where the antagonist is the devil - or worse, unknowingly a manifestation of the devil - gives me the creeps. See The Exorcist, Angelheart, The Devil's Advocate, etc.
I still haven't seen Cabin in the Woods but it looked great.
Evil Dead is still up there, and Army of Darkness too although that's more of a comedy than anything. The Crow may or may not count but that will always crack the Top 10.
the exorcist was a comedy, right? because it made me laugh, a lot.
i'm partial to the friday the 13th franchise for good, campy horror-fun. the halloween series is probably a close second. vincent price's house on haunted hill was one of my favorites as a kid. the people under the stairs is another good one.
I rather liked The Conjurer as a horror movie. Slither as well, for different reasons. I don't really get scared by movies, so I think the best horror is psychological, things that make me uncomfortable. Mouth to Mouth wins there.
The original Paranormal Activity really scared me. I think it was because you couldn't see anything scary; it was all in your head. Plus the fact that it was in your home made me paranoid as hell for days after watching it. In fact, I refused to be a room by myself for 24 hours after watching it. Clock even had to stand outside the bathroom when I had to go... Oy.
Images of Gandhi as an outsourced IT person just flashed through my head.
We had one of those emails where moron #1 CC'd in a huge DL and then morons #2 to x replied all with the "Why am I getting this email???" and "People, stop replying all...."
I got over 30 replies to this one email.
I needed to vent without replying to all. So, I made that my IM status message and posted it on different places.
yeah.
Brings back fond memories of co-workers replying-all on external spam emails with blind cc: all_users which bogged down the corporate networks (in the days before the systems, firewalls, and filters were more rigorous).
let's just say some security guards really shouldn't be given computer user accounts. Give them internet access to waste the night shift away, but by golly, disconnect their email account. I don't need to know that a couple parking spots have been reserved for Bubba-Joe scheduled to visit tomorrow. I trust you'll do your job, and the world won't end if you don't.
For halloween, I'm dressed as a guy who's going to have a couple pints of IPA after work. Heading to sports bar where I used to go to watch hockey. Wondering if the staff will be in costume or not...
