How has Jeffrey's skating been looking? Does his knee seems to be bothering him at all?

AFAIK he is healthy (there were no news in media about issues regarding his knee), he is skating hard and have a lot of ice time, plays PP, PK.

Good to hear. Glad he's getting lots of chances and playing time. Thanks for the updates.

DJ had a pretty tough time of it, last season. So it's good to hear he's acquitting himself well. As has been mentioned... it's going to be tough finding a spot for him in the lineup whenever things normalize. Too many things standing in his way. Some of which are silly.

He's absolutely an NHLer, though.

Full interview: http://plus.sites.post-gazette.com/i...75-crosby-says

Sid interview after the unofficial Pen's skate this morning.

Q – Is (playing in) Europe still on the radar for you?
A – Yeah. I mean, we'll see (what happens) this week. We'll see if they're going to find a way to salvage anything close to a full season. We'll just wait and see how that goes.

Q – Just to be clear, are you saying you could decide this week on whether to go to Europe?
A – No, I'm not deciding this week. What I'm saying is that that's probably going to have some bearing on whether I really make that decision (to explore options in Europe).

Q – Is there anything new on the Europe front?
A – No, nothing new there.

Q – Do you have plans to play in any charity games, like (Craig) Adams did in Chicago the other day?
A – I was talking to Max (Talbot) a bit about going back for the games in Montreal. He has some games going on there. The thing is, I have to get insurance for those games, too. It's not as easy as just going to play. If it was, I'd be playing in a lot more of those. It's not as easy as that, so that's probably why I haven't been playing in those games. But that's something that is good, for guys to be able to get in something that's close (to regular games).

I think he starts as the 13th forward but when he gets in the line-up he will probably never leave the line-up unless he gets hurt himself.

That sounds about right.

I think he has a lot more flexibility up and down the lineup than a lot of players that are supposed to be ahead of him on the depth chart. I don't imagine him ever being a legitimate top six scoring type or even a consistent complimentary player in that role. But I feel like he could do spot duty there and also be a responsible bottom sixer and penalty killer with some actual ability, to boot.

I'm afraid he'll just get lost in the shuffle because Bylsma prefers certain players over others.

Jeffrey with 5 points (1+4) in todays 8-4 win against Znojmo. His line is the best and the most complete line in the entire EBEL.

Jeffrey has been one of my favorite players since he had that breakout year in WBS. He was playing so well when he got that damn injury and never got a real shot last year. I really hope we dont lose him for good on this team from this damn lockout because there year would have been a prime opportunity to see what he can offer us.

Good to hear that Jeffrey is doing well. I really like him as a player. Hopefully the confidence he gets can translate to the Pens when the lockout is over.

Insider Trading's latest.

Said Sid would stay in North America as late as December and 2 likely destinations are Zurich where Marc Crawford coaches and a KHL team who could afford him.

Also a pro-tour is in the works with dates in NA and Europe involving some 50 players.

I understand Geno going over, I still don't like it, but should Sid go over, I won't be very happy.

Being truthful, players who do this only hurt their peers who can't. Some unified players they're.

Not many of them are really hurting for money either. I find it hard to support Sid in the middle of this. I would much rather have seen the players who'r hurting from this standing up behind, Fehr. Fehr isn't really that smart to gain brownie points that way, even though the premise is still there that these guys still make a lot of money.

I'm not so sure he'll be the 13th forward. It all comes down to him and Tangradi.

Put two and two together and we all know how the organization likes it's spare centers. I'd bet Tangradi is the 13th just by that alone. Tangradi will get his minutes due to injury and get his chances at trying to stick and make it hard for the coaches. IMHO

They aren't going to be competing for the same spots in the line-up. Tangradi will likely be top 6 wing or the 13th forward. If Tangradi gets the top 6 spot, Jeffrey will be battling Adams and Vitale for spots. If Tangradi doesn't get the top 6 spot and TK moves up to the top 6, I think Jeffrey fits nicely into the 3rd line.

Engos first goal came sunday in his fifth game for Rosenborg. He now has five points and is at -5 in the +/- column. Unfortunately he's getting way too much toi (close to 35mins/game). Coach is an idiot and is rolling two lines.

I'll upload a video of the goal later, if I get the time. He's palying tomorrow vs the best team in the league. Expect another loss.

Two lines? Like in 10 players?

Overloading your top lines is nothing new in the lesser European leagues. Their import players are usually so much better than the rest that they get insane ice time. And if the club thinks those lockout guys will be leaving early they don't have to care about exhausting them in two months.
