We can do it! Our boys just need to believe.

Watching Viasat with Swedish (?) play-by-play. Amazing. Terrific emotion, reminded me of Arabic coverage of football games.

OMG Metallurg NK the miracle team, takes down another giant and defies logic with an epic comeback... mind officially blown.

To think that many people were sceptical about their participation this season: "Why do we need another outsider team?" etc, etc, etc.

So I posed this question a few weeks ago to KHL fans and was a bit surprised with the difference in opinion among responses. So I want to ask again now that more games have been played. Who are (in your opinion of course) the top 10 players in the KHL right now production wise? The KHL site is hard to follow since you cannot sort players by PPG and only Point totals, and even then obviously stats are not everything.

Thanks in advance!

I hope not. Finland is too much politicized towards Russia. I don't want that in my KHL. We're doing awesome the way it is right now.

My word i cannot believe Riga pulled off the upset today. They've looked a lot better in their last three or so games. Maybe there is hope.

I think you meant Finland is too much politicized against Russia? Well, that is correct. Unfortunately. The KHL in Finland will never work because of hatred/dislike towards Russia. Even though Latvia, Czech Republic and to a lesser extent Slovakia are politically against Russia they don't hate Russia there the way Finns do.

Same thing here. I don't think he's game would suit bigger rink as well, and he's hockey sense isn't good enough for him to be as effective as in smaller rink. So doubt that he would be as good as in playoffs.

Slovaks are a totally different case.

I know. Slovaks are more "Slavic" than Czechs and culturally closer to Russia. Czech Republic is more oriented towards Central Europe.

But Czechs (and even most of the Latvians) don't share the hateful attitude towards Russia than many of the Finns do. In this regard Finland and Estonia are the worst. The KHL will never work in Finland because it is a Russian product.

Lehtera is not even close to the top 10. Tarasenko in the top 3? Really?

Mozyakin at 2? AND in the top 10 leaguewide?

Lehterä is easily a top 10 forward in the KHL right now.

And the finns should ask themselves why. I don't get it and don't really care about expanding the KHL to Finland.
