At least it was realistic in a way that it took 10 shots to get even one goal.

Failing their way to success? Yep, that's a Canes game.

Guess it's true what they say about goals allowed in the first and last minutes of periods, two cost us the game today

Corvo has been kind of useless thus far I'll agree, Harrison has something like 4 or 5 points, no excuses for Joe. If we trade him, what kind of return are we looking to get? Stay at home bottom pair D type? Futures? Or a guy who can actually win face offs, our face off winning % as a team is abysmal. Konopka and Stoll come to mind.

In the next hour or so I'll post the league standings to and league leaders for reference

Question 1: What UFA d-men are still on the market?

Question 2: Which teams have interest in Corvo?

Did colaiacavo hit the market? He'd be a great third pairing guy. If were talking a shutdown guy, I know the preds have Hal Gill on the block. Also, how's Welsh doing at 3rd line C? Is he good, or do we want to trade for a gritty vet who can win face offs?

either later tonite or first thing tommorrow I'll post all the teams who have interest in Corvo, and the UFA Dmen still available. Along with standings and such not. Out at a Halloween party for the forseeable few hours tho.

I signed Paul Ranger in mine, no idea if he's left though. He was like an...82? overall

Seriously, it's a ****ing travesty if this board runs an NHL 13 season as the Canes and we DON'T go out and pick up The Anton.

Well, we're gonna need to do some creative GMing, but I'll get to that in a second, first things first.

Current League Standings
-------------------------

WESTERN CONFERENCE

1 - Vancouver - 6-3-1 - 13pts
2 - Edmonton - 4-0-4 - 12pts
3 - Detroit - 6-3-0 - 12pts
4 - Calgary - 5-2-1 - 11pts
5 - Nashville - 5-4-1 - 11pts
6 - Chicago - 5-2-0 - 10pts
7 - St. Louis - 4-3-1 - 9pts
8 - Phoenix - 4-3-0 - 8pts
9 - Minnesota - 4-4-0 - 8pts
10 - Anaheim - 4-5-0 - 8pts
11 - Colorado - 3-5-1 - 7pts
12 - Dallas - 3-5-1 - 7pts
13 - Los Angeles - 3-5-0 - 6pts
14 - San Jose - 1-5-2 - 3pts
15 - Columbus - 0-5-3 - 3pts

EASTERN CONFERENCE

1 - Carolina - 8-1-0 - 16pts
2 - Buffalo - 6-2-0 - 12pts
3 - Montréal - 6-3-0 - 12pts
4 - New York Islanders - 6-3-0 - 12pts
5 - Pittsburgh - 6-3-0 - 12pts
6 - New Jersey - 5-1-1 - 11pts
7 - Ottawa - 5-3-1 - 11pts
8 - Toronto - 5-2-0 - 10pts
9 - Florida - 4-3-1 - 9pts
10 - Washington - 4-5-1 - 9pts
11 - Winnipeg - 4-3-0 - 8pts
12 - Philadelphia - 3-4-1 - 7pts
13 - Boston - 2-5-2 - 6pts
14 - Tampa Bay - 2-4-1 - 5pts
15 - New York Rangers - 2-6-0 - 4pts

Now, the Anton trade.

Anton's trade value is slightly more than Corvo's (best way I can describe it is on the trade screen, where it says "Trade Value" over the value bar, his value fills up the bar to the 'A' in trade. Corvo's fills it to the 'R'. Corvo (for some reason) is a player Calgary is interested in, however, Babchuk is not on their block. So we need to add. Problem is that Calgary is at the 50 contract limit, so if we add in another player, we have to take one back to and they're not interested in any of our picks. So who we gonna add in, and who we gonna take back since they don't want draft picks. Without writing down every player, the Flames basically are interested in all our prime aged guys and don't want anyone over 30 or under 23 (with the occasional exception) and are looking to off load their 30+ players.
