If you look at the main screen in NHL 13, it's Halloween themed... thought I'd point that out.

-Advance is in 10 minutes, as soon as OTT finishes their game against TOR.
-@PIT: I'm not going to wait until your trade is approved. NYR GM is "Away" right now and i have no idea when he'll be back. You'll have to wait until next sim period.
-This was a "One Week" Schedule Period, all remaining Periods will be the original "2 Weeks" setting

Schedule Advanced!

One thing i want to stress to all GMs (I'll update the OP with this as well):

Failure to schedule your games will result in removal from the league. It takes 5 minutes to do it and it makes it an absolute certainty that you'll be able to play 75% of your games. I put up with this way too much last season and i dont want to do it again. One of the major things that separated the top seeded teams from the 8-12 seeds wasn't necessarily skill, but amount of games played vs games played vs CPU.

Example: This schedule period I have....

-Buffalo
-Nashville
-Columbus
-Buffalo
-St. Louis
-Vancouver
-St. Louis
-Columbus

So i'll send each GM a PM, which can be done by clicking the HF Username of the GM found in the contact list on page 1. All the PM has to say is something along the lines of...

Quote:
"Hey this is the -Your Team- GM, i have you on my schedule this period. I'm available...(Central Time)

Tonight: 6pm-11pm
Thursday: 3pm-5pm, 8pm to 11pm
Friday: 2:30pm-4pm, 11pm-???? (depending if i go out or not)

Let me know which time works best for you.
Thats all, send it to the 4-7 GMs on your schedule and then you dont have to worry about it for another 3 days. In a league as active as this, there's no excuse for not submitting these messages out. I'll be expecting this from every GM in the league, and again, failure to do this simple task will result in removal from the league due to inactivity.

I desperately need to start this season off strong. Gotta stack up some wins in these first few advances.

Pathetic loss 6-2 against Phoenix. Rask just wasn't up to task in this game. However, Lucic was in beast mode, scoring both of BOS goals, taking 8 shots and dealing out 7 hits.

The two games I've played tonight have really frustrated me. 2-0 loss against OTT, and a 2-1 loss against NYI. Lehner played like a monster in that game and i'd say he out played Vokoun. The 2nd game was especially frustrating because Tavares scored the game winner with 22 seconds left. All I have to say is that it's been a frustrating start to the season with my team struggling to score goals and I cannot wait for Nash to get here.

Lehner, and myself I guess, just can't solve Buffalo . First game 6-1 L... second game 3-2 L, and I had a 2 goal lead! I don't understand how it's possible to shoot top shelf a score everytime, when I shoot top shelf I miss everytime or it goes wide, but whatever whatever, good games Buffalo .

And Pittsburg, Lehner is just a beast sometimes

not off to a great start

0-1-2

OT loss to Vancouver 2-1
OT loss to Colorado 5-4 (scored with 4 seconds left to tie it, I also took way way way too many penalties in this game)
Loss to Phoenix 3-2 (made an errand pass with just seconds left and immediately knew it was over, scored with 9 seconds left for the win. Grabner with 2 goals at least.)

good games (for my opponents)

A very VERY tight defensive battle as Tampa Bay takes down Florida 1-0 in a shootout. Lindback and Markstrom come up with the dueling shutouts. So yes, this Southeast division is going to be tough.

Wow started the season with 4 losses in overtime... just wow.

Oh and just lost my number 1 center Koivu for 41 games. Great.

Just had a joke of a game against the blues. I made it 1-0 in the 1st but he scored off a glitch goal (it wasn't intentional) where he shot the puck, and it bounced off of Fleury's skate went along the outside of the net and behind it but it was counted as a goal. He scored 5 straight after that and I was so tempted to rage quit but I knew I would get booted from the league if I did. Honestly I think if that goal never went in I would have kept my momentum and maybe would not have lost by so much or maybe not at all. Never been so pissed about a video game in my life.
