If he's 25 and signing an ECHL contract, he has zero NHL future.

McArdle is on a backwards trajectory if he is signing an ECHL contract after 5 pro seasons. He's always been a poor man's Rico Fata, anyway.

Greenville 6 Orlando 5 Shootout

Greenville defeated Orlando in a shootout today in the first ever meeting between these teams. Greenville took a 2-0 lead early as goals from Weibe and Berkstresser got past Orlando goalie Mike Brodeur before the 8 minute mark of the first period. Orlando cashed in on the power play at the 16:33 mark of the first to go within one. Orlando exploded in the second period scoring 3 goals. Marc-Oliver Vallerand scored on the power play at 2:54 of the 3rd period. Orlando expanded the league with a goal a few minutes later. A theatrical finish as Jordie Johnston scored his first professional goal with just under 3 minutes left in the game. Greenville pulled the goalie for an extra attacker and the 3rd Year Road Warrior Sean Berkstresser collected his 2nd goal of the game with 11.4 Seconds left in regulation. Neither team was able to score in the 4 on 4 overtime period. The shootout Greenville defeated Orlando 3 Goals to none as Wiebe, Verrault, Wong all converted on their shootout attempts.

Fun Facts

Rob Kwiet recorded his first points as a Road Warrior Tonight

Shayne Wiebe had a 4 Point Weekend and has scored in every ECHL game he's played in.

Former NHLer Kenndal McArdle made his Road Warrior debut logging 3 shots on net.

Not to my knowledge it was a great game though.

Greenville released Brett Robinson today. Robinson had played in 2 games this season and 64 last season for the Road Warriors.

Looks like Connecticut loaned him to Wichita, also of the ECHL.

New York Rangers Themed 3rd Jersey

These will make their debut this Sunday.

I know Cincinatti did this with the preds a few years back and other teams have. Last year Greenville had a Green 3rd Jersey.

Sweet... Love the design! Good for the Rwarriors. Too bad the NYR have an AHL team called "The Whale" trying to turn back the clock to a defunct NHL team after the idea of a befuzzled old geezer (baldwin). BRING BACK THE WOLFPACK!!!!!

Me too. I'm occupied Saturday nights, and can't watch those games. I pretty much only got Friday's, and the games during the week when they have them occasionally to watch. Any radio streams? There isn't one for our team, but the Whale's twitter said 1290 AM. They don't stream online though.

EDIT - Here you go! It's only a radio feed, but it's good enough for me. It's Albany's feed though. Go to radio when the page opens up. It's all the way on the right.

1-1 middle of the 2nd, Pack getting outshot pretty bad (24-8 )

Thomas with the goal, looks likes he starting to find his offensive touch at the pro level, 2G/2A in the last 5 games.

Albany should be blowing us out with their talent level. They have 5 NHL players.

1-1 after two periods, Albany outshooting the Whale 30-8... Talbot standing on his head tonight, defense is piss-poor clearing the zone... exciting 3rd coming up!

But we have Gilroy

Game still tied 1-1, pack got outshot 18-2 in the second period. Talbot must be putting on a show.

Yogan just got into a fight with tough guy Dan Kelly. Trying to change the momentum. I'd assume Yogan probably didn't do so well in the fight.
