Ruutu would be the worst 1st line C in the league by an embarrassing margin.

He's barely a passable 2nd line C, but 1st line would be excruciating.

I think Brodziak would be a very good option, I really like his game. What would the wild be looking for?

Abdelkader is the better draw man, and is a more physical player. He's also very solid defensively and on the PK.

I was asking if he could or has played 3rd line C. And yes I was talking about how the Staals or Richards and Carter can all be 1 C's on a number of teams but are shifted to the wing on their teams.

The title was a 3rd line C. If it wasn't for face offs, Steckel would be in the ECHL.

You could probably pluck Ott from the Sabres in a year or two....for Gleason.

Jarrett Stoll is the perfect man for the job. Lombardi is in love with him though, and he likes So. Cal.

Huh? He fits the OP's description perfectly. Gritty 3rd line veteran center who can win faceoffs.

Try again.

So for fun, who would you offer, and what would ya want in return?
Canes get Horcoff

Oilers get 1 extra small bag of pucks

Belanger would also fit the bill and would be a lot more realistic then Horcoff.

Belanger didn't leave Carolina on the best of terms.

To rub it in, the Kings actually have 7 centers on the roster - 3 of whom (Carter, Richardson, and Lewis) have been converted to wing.
