Heading back to NYC on Thursday (weather allowing).

It sounds like a gongshow right now, and not likely to get better by then.

I wouldn't count on making that flight... La Guardia was buried underwater, and I can't imagine how much damage the weight of all that water caused, sea water no less. I'm not even sure I'd want to go back just yet... public transit is going to be a mess, and I doubt the subway system is back up anytime soon (regardless of what they say).

I wonder how things work with work. I guess you stay home and don't get paid, can you file for unemployment while you wait?

The time it would take to process an unemployment claim (for someone who doesn't have it already) would take far long worth doing... Not to mention with my state, and city, in that kind of shape... I personally couldn't in good faith even do that, even just for the sake of them having to provide someone at a desk for me to file a claim... when they could be better helping the city. NYC is in really really bad shape...

If I lived in NYC, I'd whatever I could to recoup my losses. The only person I know that lives there pays $3000/month for a 600 sq. ft. apartment. I'd be sunk if I had that kind of responsibility and stopped collecting any kind of a check.

Got two free Doritos Locos Tacos from Taco Bell. Thanks again, Angel Pagan. Worth the trip.

I don't think you can get suspended for that as long as had a prescription. #2, they can smell that stuff?

No even prescription medication isn't allowed. It has to be given to the nurse. And yes they can

How long have you been on those meds? If it's been a while, that one falls on you for not having the proper paperwork filed with the school.

They have the same thing at some people's work too, Ray is right, but seeing as it is school, you should quite easily be able to fix this. Have your doctor call your principal TOMORROW in the morning.

The meds are fairly new (one month). Hopefully I can cause my school has a 0 tolerance policy. I could be expelled but honestly I don't really care.

ugh.... I've been continuously ticked off at work the last two days. Let's just say that working at a title company at the end of the month, when there's a rush of people buying homes, is a huge pain in the ass....

Anyone have any dogs here that go nuts at the doorbell, or just when anything walks near the house? We have 3, and live in a real quiet cul-de-sac in our hood... every time a car passes by the bark for about 5 minutes nonstop and won't leave the door. As if the doorbell going off doesn't make them go insane, there is a parade that is going to meet and leave from our cul-de-sac tonight...

Yeah, I'm definitely not going home till at least 10pm tonight.

Robert Flores tried to say pick on Sportscenter and instead just said the main Mexican slur. Kinda funny.

Switched my flight from tomorrow morning to Sunday night.

No subways, no power, no internet? I'll be better off here in Toronto.

It finally feels like winter for the first time with how windy it's been. Layers ftw.

Survived the end of the month, and at least the next two days look blissfully light work-wise.

Here's hoping the downtime lasts a good week or so.
