PC build time. Thinking of an ivy bridge Core i7 3770 CPU and a GeForce GTX 670 video card.

Still love my Cooler Master HAF X case. Might grab a second one.

I built an i7 computer this past summer. Was fun. Pricey, but the performance upgrades are nice.

Do you have a well-developed opinion of Windows 8 yet? I've heard a lot of mixed things, but some of it is hysteria from what appear to me to be mostly cosmetic changes.

I do not, but am curious. If I hate it, I figure I'll just reformat and install 7.

Got a coworker who is a QA lead so has a couple of win8 vms to test and there are some annoyances. I think more using it for work rather than someones home pc. Definitely some issues with multiple monitor setups and funky hot corner stuff. The no start menu is annoying have to go back over to the metro UI. Stardock already offers a software that brings it back to win7 style.

New PC built. Installed a Zalman cooler on a socket 1155 Intel CPU. Really like the new procedure. Doesn't feel like you're going to chip the CPU die like it used to, for me.

Halo 4 is good.

I must heavily recommend the Gamers Unlocked at Best Buy. Getting 20 in gift cards a new game is money

Got around to software installation and I really like Windows 8. Slick. Will try it out with swtor later today for gaming. Maybe a shooter or rts for stress tests.

I might go ahead and add Start8, mind you, from Stardock.

GW2 getting ready to do their free trial via referrals. If anyone wants one, PM me, pretty sure I'm not going to use all of mine.

Windows 8 isn't that bad, indeed changes are mostly cosmetic, but I'm one of those who are afraid that MS will try to capitalize on their Windows Store with the future OS.

I think a fractured game store market is inevitable. Origin and the new MS store are going to take serious market share from Steam, and we're going to end up with a bunch of competing platforms.

I kind of like the functionality of Origin, but it's really annoying not having everything centralized.

I'm liking Black Ops 2, more than I thought I would. They made the pistol insanely strong, makes it so easy to own people.

Liking Guild Wars 2. Thanks for the free 3 days BRS03!

I'm leveling each class to around 5 to see which I like best.

Glad you like it. This weekend has sort of been odd for it; lots of bugs in the new content, and lots of people focused on only a few areas. Still, some of the new stuff is pretty cool.

Lost Shores wrapup was something else. A bit tedious, laggy, culling issues. But despite all that just plain cool. Loot was nice too.

hadn't planned on picking anything up, but then I saw the Crusader Kings 2 Collection as a 'flash sale'. 23 bucks with all the additional DLC
