ahmad bradshaw is the closest thing to a big name at rb on a super bowl team since thomas jones( i guess), or really just shaun alexander. it makes no sense to "invest" in the running back position, suitable rbs are everywhere. that said, it also doesn't make much sense to blow your load on a receiver when your 4th receiver is james jones/randall cobb. they can use that money for the defense, which isn't great and will be losing woodson in near future.
Only problem is Cutler had NEGATIVE passing yards until the end of the third quarter. Holy schizz, the Bears looked like the Pats playing the '85 Bears with the Bears doing a Pats impersonation. Luckily the final score was different. Bears o-line is a seive of gigantic proportions.
Lovie said earlier today that Alshon will still be out "a while."

Disappointing, but they just need Bennett and Davis to step it up.
Side note: Anyone else here fearing playing against Matt Hasselbeck, who seems to have had the Bears number in the regular season? I'd rather play against Jake Locker...

The better QB with less of a history against the Bears?
Like to see the Bears pound some of these D-Lines with Michael Bush the next few games. He only played 5 snaps or so against Carolina. Part of that is the Bears being down. 1. You don't wear out Forte who played 50 plays, 91%. 2. He has the potential to punish the opposing D-Line.
How about some two back sets with him as lead blocker as well?
Has there been any worse starting LT than J'Marcus Webb? Id like to know. Is this guy the worst LT in the league or what. Seventh round draft pick. Ok theres been some low round OT picks in the HISTORY of the NFL that have done well. Thats not the case here. Whats even more incredible is the Bears refuse to draft a LT. One of the most important positions to have. Thats if you want to keep your QB in relatively good health. Well Angelo did draft Chris Williams. That didnt work out. Another brilliant Angelo o-line pick. Good riddance Jerry.
Lets look at J'Marcus' pedigree.
Quote:
In 2006, as a freshman, Webb played for the University of Texas Longhorns. The Longhorns went 10–3 and Webb played in the Alamo Bowl. In 2007, Webb transferred to Navarro College, and in 2008, he transferred to West Texas A&M University.
Wuzzat... going from D1 to xyz Navarro College. Anyone got a magic wand. Maybe some good fairy can wave it over J'Marucs and he can transform into some adequate starting LT.
Anyone know the upcoming D ends JAY MARCUS is going to be facing in the upcoming games? Holy c...p. Hope Cutler has good life insurance.
You'd be surprised how many really good athletes can't qualify coming out of high school and have to go the prep/JC route
You'd also be surprised at how many great athletes get into college and play sports for a few years with almost no education at all.
Went to Miami from 1998-2002 and was there for the National Championship team.
One of the better players was in my econ class that year, on the roster, and almost never showed up but still passed the class.
Not condemning my school as a friend of mine said the same thing about USC where he went and have heard it about other team programs.
Fact is if your really good at something most others aren't you can get away with more then most. Almost all of the top 50 college football teams if truly investigated by the NCAA would have violations. It's how it works.
