Honestly man just wait until it happens to you then you'll see how I feel right now.
Happened to me too. The other GM agreed in PM, we agreed to post in in the trade topic, and then after I posted it he accepted a different deal with the same player so it never went through
From your end, I can see why losing Nash stings, this is a blockbuster deal. But don't worry, I'm sure you'll be able to pull off another one nearing the deadline when teams start selling, perhaps you won't even have to give up Brown to get a good scoring forward, just some nice prospects/picks.
I miss out on deals all the time, the Eberle snub hurt me only to see the Phx Gm leave the league (I think) after receiving him. I move on and re-focus my roster and options. Let it go man lol
The difference between the eberle situation and my situation is that I posted the trade and we both agreed to it. I don't remember you posting an eberle trade and I believe you lost out on his sweepstakes and you weren't promised him. I don't want to start a fight between us to but our situations are completely different.
If we played 82 games a ton of GMs would have a player with 82 goals, that's not difficult at all. The tricky part is scoring that many when we sim a ton of games as well.

I know lol I'm not trying to start a fight either, just having a discussion. But I'm trying to tell you life goes on.
I'm not calling you lazy by any means I guess it was just a poor choice of words on my part. I guess in disappointed in the verdict but oh well. I have my regular season trade back right?
Now that the PIT NYR trade fiaso is settled lets move on. We're switching to a 3 day schedule now which means that on the 3rd day, you can play the other teams CPU. Because of the shortened schedule, and resultant lack of time to get games in, its now more than ever important for GMs to send PMs and schedule your games.
Again, failure to do this will result in removal from the league.
Since it looks like 90% of the GMs in this league are here to stay, i think we should try and get a "NHL 14 GM Connected Wishlist" going. By the looks of it, The Bluth Company is arguably the most active GM League on HF Boards so i dont think its too far off to say that the things we think should be fixed are pretty accurate. I'll wait one month to take everyone's suggestions and then i'll see if i can send it out (somehow) to the Devs at EA and then they'll (hopefully) have enough time to work some of these things into NHL 14. The Updated List will be located here...

Oh I know my life will go on and I'll look elsewhere for a superstar forward but you have to understand its tough for me to lose Nash when I thought I had him. He'll I even lost Getzlaf when I thought I had him but those were under different circumstances.

Sorry man, Ducks are under new management and Getzlaf was locked in for the long term!

Yeah like I said those were different circumstances and I wasn't as pissed because you guys were switching teams and you had no idea I was talking to the old GM about him.
just lost to the new and improved Isles, great game though! Dipietro played like a no. 1 overall pick with some saves. But good defense and bad penalties cost me. I look forward to the rematch.

Great game, pretty sure you were playing 3 post for the majority of that game though , more than enough posts to go around lol.
Must say was very motivated after being romped by you twice last year (as the Ducks). I'd say the fact that Dipietro logged in a shutout vs you is more than payback haha.
Could this be an audition by Dipietro for a different team? Islanders GM has made it well known that Dipietro's services are available.

those cross bars and posts i hit were like daggers lol and I soooooo wanted to capitalize on your Gtending choice in him but it payed off greatl
I think I've solved my goal scoring dilemma after playing some HUT and scoring at least 3 goals each game, guess i'll find out tonight when I play my games.
