They sent the email out yesterday or the day before. New system in place with ticketmaster/Ticketsnow.

It works through your existing account and you can list your tickets for sale/for charity/fwd them to friend. No minimum or maximum price. Very similar to stubhub's system. But with SH's system the seller pays 15% and the buyer 10%. With the NBAtickets.com system the seller pays 5% and the buyer pays 20%. Prices generally are very similar to stubhub's.

With the new system your tickets can stay for sale right up till one hour before game time. You can choose to have your sales credited to your team account, or you can choose to have them directly deposited to your checking account. There are pluses and minuses to the new system for sure. It all balances out imo though. There will obviously be a lot more undercutting with a fee market in place. The direct deposit option is nice though. I've always thought it ridiculous to have to wait 6+ months to bet get a refund check or to use your "credit".

If you go through your Celtics account to list there is a minimum that Ticketnow will let you list for. My $36 seats can only go as low as $25 and my $65 seats can only go to $50. If I list directly through Ticketnow then you can go lower. The difference is that the tickets will not be listed as instant download.

This is my first year as a Celtics STH. How do guys find the secondary market for Celtics tickets? It isn't the primary reason I bought them but I just can't go to all the games.

My tickets are Balcony 330 Row 7 but I'm paying $70 per ticket

Good info. I didn't list anything that low. But was told differently...from a rep no less

I just sold a couple orders for tomorrow night on it. I was surprised they sold so quick. I still have a few more sets to move for tomorrow

Ouch. They really put the screws to new STH's. Or do you just have a partial plan?

I have 4 in 317 row 8. Identical seats on the opposed side of the same free throw line one row back from yours. Face is $42/per. One thing that I commend the C's for, the longer you've had ST's, the more they take care of you with the pricing. And if you decide to add seats on, you ad them at your grandfathered price you bought in at.

The B's are the exact opposite. You've been a STH for 10+ years? That means we have you by the balls! You're a die hard. You'll pay what we say you'll pay!

I almost purchased Celtics ST for this season and decided against it. Do you know if row 8 side balcony starts a different price point than row 7. I was sent a color coded seating chart without row numbers and the side balcony prices was $70, $53, $38.

$38 was rows 14-15 and sold out
$53 looked like row 8-13
$70 looked like rows 1-7

LHHFMF has row 7 which was $70 for a new STH

Your row 8 might be a lower price category which for you is $42 but a new STH would be at $53.

It's a full season plan so they just put the screws to new STHs.

If your equivalent tickets are $28 less than it looks like I'll be in for a loss for the low demand games I can't attend.

Thank you for the info

As I just said above I also think that row 8 starts a different price category than row 7. Row 7 for new STH was $70. I can't tell for sure because I am working off of just a color coded seating chart without row numbers but even for a new STH it looks like just 1 row behind you is a $53 price category so you will also be pricing against both the older STH $42 price and the new STH $53 price for rows 8-13.

I called this year and asked for the cheapest they had.
I was offered 322 row 12 for $36. $10 more than the past season ticket holder in row 8 of the same section.
Also asked if I had interest in 303 row 11 for $53.

Well, this makes me happy I got rid of my tickets. The only reason I was keeping them was because they were so easy to get rid of on the exchange. Now people will be low balling on there. That's my opinion anyhow.

so to bring it back to the Bruins... all this Pats and Celts talk notwithstanding...

It is INSANE that we have not got ANY refund yet.... into November. A giant slap in the face to their season ticket holders, no good faith. LOLOL @ the thought that Option 1 locked in a price for next year. Good luck trying to raise ticket prices after providing no product (or eventually a diminished one at BEST), they may just have to lower them. Has anyone emailed their ticket rep yet (though of course it wont matter) to express their anger of lack of refunds.

Posting some more stuff this morning.

Apparently the lowest I can post me $42 seats is $35. Lowest I can post my $65 seat is $50. Lowest I can post my $38 seats is $25.

Looks like there are several cheaper price points still below ours...starting at $15.

If they have a good season with strong secondary market demand, I think you'll be a little disappointed. If not, you'll still be smiling into April.

With no B's games this year and some fresh young guys + a solid draft, I wish I would have bought more. Time will tell. Not worried about the new exchange system. I don't think it's going to make a big difference in sales. The soft games were always flooded on the old system anyways. I generally ended up selling them on SH below cost rather than the exchange. I'd get lucky with some here or there though and get face for em.

Without B's playing, C's xmas sales should be booming. Also, that last Pats regular season game is usually a good xmas gift seller.

I'm sure I could have gotten rid of them all for at least a modest profit, probably more. I was just mad with the lockout last year. I told my rep that I was canceling if they made us buy any preseason games after the lockout and the did, so I canceled.

This said, compared to how the B's are treating us the C's did it right!

So true! The longer this goes, the worse the backlash from fans will be.

Thats why i went with option 2.. I knew they probabley wouldn't raise the prices and if there is no season i want my money back and will drop my season tickets. I don't care even if they offer all that money paying for next season i was holding onto these tickets to sell them for a good chunk of change. Now I just want out.

I took option 2 because the extra cash to make the last payments at holiday time will help.
I plan on keeping my seats, but fear I will spend too much of the refund that would go towards next season.
Unless I can find another team to "invest" in in the meantime.

I wasn't a STH back in '05-'06. But I've read a couple different places now that 75% of the league dropped STH prices after the lockout.

But hey, JJ was doing us all a favor buy giving us 3% APR and no price INCREASE He can spot a sucker a mile away. I can't wait to get my apologetic free small popcorn voucher for the first pre-season game. Jacobs, all class.

I am a sucker for that popcorn. The guy in front of me usually walks out with a few kernels in his hair and on his back.
I havent spilled beer on him since 2010 though.
